Overnight stay for meeting, only downside for me was there were no EV chargers available at the hotel.

Stayed on bank holiday weekend for an evening wedding event with family. 99% of stay friendly a. accommodating. Venue comfortable. Decor in room a little shabby in areas but still high standard accommodation.

Staff polite had a treatment. We arrived late but was understanding. The TV didn't work in our room and told them twice . Was told someone would come and no one did. The food was nice but lots of fish on menu quite restricted menu. Quality of food good though. The firmed i went with wasng great on her feet and didnt realise how many steps there was. All in all a comfortable and nice stay. Would go again but maybe not have tea there. Breakfast was great .

Good morning, I wanted to provide some feedback following my recent stay. Firstly, the hotel itself is beautiful. The weather and the grounds certainly made the experience even more enjoyable and created a lovely setting for our stay. Prior to arrival, I emailed to enquire about children’s swimming times, as advised on your website. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response, so I followed up a few days later and again received no reply. As I still needed the information, I called on the morning of our stay to ensure we did not miss the children’s swimming sessions, particularly given the warm weather. This did leave me feeling somewhat disappointed from a customer service perspective. I am also unsure whether this feedback will reach the appropriate team, as the email address used was the one provided on both the website and my booking confirmation, yet my enquiries went unanswered. My initial interaction with reception upon arrival was also not particularly welcoming. I was handed a sheet of paper with very little explanation and felt as though I was being hurried along. The impression I was left with was that assisting guests was an inconvenience, which unfortunately did not create a positive first impression. Had I encountered any issues during my stay, I would not have felt comfortable approaching reception for assistance. Throughout the hotel, I noticed that many staff members appeared disengaged, with little acknowledgement of guests. I appreciate it was a particularly hot day and that everyone has challenging days at work, but a simple smile or greeting can make a significant difference to a guest’s experience. Our room was lovely and clean; however, there was a noticeable smell which was not particularly pleasant. I appreciate this may be due to the age of the building, but perhaps some additional measures could be considered to freshen communal areas and corridors. There were also a couple of minor maintenance and housekeeping issues. The hand wash dispenser in our room was broken, and although the booking was for three guests, only two towels had been provided. On a positive note, we visited the bar area and the gentleman working behind the bar was extremely polite, helpful and a real credit to the hotel. Despite being very busy, he managed everything efficiently and professionally. Later in the evening, a young lady assisting him was also friendly, approachable and demonstrated excellent customer service. The receptionist in the fitness centre was similarly welcoming, polite and accommodating. The pool area itself was lovely; however, the changing rooms had a noticeable odour and were not particularly inviting as a result. We did not dine in the restaurant during our stay. Unfortunately, we were not advised about restaurant bookings, availability or whether walk-ins were accepted, so we chose to eat elsewhere. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and I would consider returning in the future. However, at present I am uncertain whether I would recommend the hotel to friends, family or clients, as I do have some concerns regarding the level of customer service and guest experience.
