Salisbury is a beautiful city and it is easy to access and enjoy using White Hart as a starting point. Excellent location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Room was at the front of the hotel on the first floor. I heard a lot of street noise late at night, leading to a broken sleep both nights. Double glazing or secondary glazing may fix this issue. Bed was OK, the room was clean. The bathroom sink was blocked and as such water drained very slowly. Given what I paid for the room, this was a disappointing experience.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay at the White Hart. I am pleased to hear that the reception team looked after you well and that your room was clean. I do however sincerely apologise that the street noise disrupted your sleep on both nights and that the blocked sink caused inconvenience during your stay. We will be looking into how we can correct this. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with the stay you deserve. Sincerely, Paul Paul Clarke General Manager

Booked for 1 night. Friendly staff. Dated decor. Room on second floor had window facing main road, but not too noisy in my opinion (on Sun before first bank holiday in May). Average sized room at £73 price point, with double bed, wardrobe, and table. Good sized bathroom. No AC.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay at the White Hart. I am pleased to hear that the team looked after you well and that the room and bathroom met your needs at a good price point. I do take on board your comments regarding the decor and I am happy to share that we are currently working through an ongoing programme of refurbishment throughout the hotel which I hope you will notice on a future visit. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Sincerely, Paul Paul Clarke General Manager

Not a 4-star experience or 4-star facilities. Arrived to be told that Reception had phoned the previous day to inform us of change of room which would not have been a problem but it's not true. Went for a drink at the bar but could not charge to our room, Reception had forgotten to check us in. On several occasions there was only one person on duty and a couple of times there was nobody around at all, whether at Reception, in the lounge or at the bar. "Quiet" room 101 turned out to be just above where the dust cart comes bright and early, also sounded like the laundry contractor. We requested a room with a walk-in shower which we had. Bathroom so small we needed to go inside before we could close the door. No hooks anywhere. Washbasin tiny and right against the wall on one side and the glass shower panel on the other, no elbow room. No shelf inside the shower, so gel, shampoo etc. need to be placed on the floor. Need to bend down to pick them up but there is no handle to prevent falling. Really worse than bad.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback following your recent stay at the White Hart and I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I apologise for the confusion regarding the room change and the check in oversight which led to the difficulty at the bar. I also take on board your comments regarding staffing levels and will ensure that appropriate cover is in place at all times. With regard to the noise in the early morning I am sorry this disrupted your stay. Regarding the bathroom, as a 17th century Grade II listed building the layout of some of our rooms does present certain constraints and I appreciate your honest feedback in this regard. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a more enjoyable stay. Sincerely, Paul Paul Clarke General Manager
