Slightly off grid but defintely walking distance to city center. Daytime you have easy access to the shuttle boat which is free of charge. Hotel is standard Ibis, no worse, no better

Stinking towels

The room is a typical Ibis room, but you can see some mold in the toilet, especially in the walls of the shower and it´s ceiling. The towels stink like they´ve been in a kitchen before being placed in the room. 2 of them. The third one I got was ok. Even with the heating off, there´s a background noise that is very annoying through the night. Breakfast is ok, choice limited and some products were not replaced when finished.

The hotel was under renovation which meant that eating room was not available. The breakfast was still offered and it was ok but it was served in a room that was way too small for the amount of people inside. with COVID cases on the rise it was quite unfortunate to have to eat in such a room

In the meantime, to maintain a minimum of comfort for our customers, we have rearranged our breakfast service in our 40 m² seminar room with 15 seats, hydro-alcoholic gel at the entrance, wearing a mask mandatory when standing. .) Room and location was as expected but there was extensive refurbishment going on that meant that there was no cafe/bar available. there was only a very unappealing, temporary looking room where breakfast could be had. There was no note of this on the Accor website at the time that we made our reservation.

It is simply not okay, to not tell people during booking that there is renovation works and that breakfasts are essential and inconvenient.

Purely functional

Dear SIMON C., Thank you for your comments following your stay at the ibis Martigues Center hotel. Regarding the problem with the temperature in the room, please accept our sincere apologies. Being in reversible and general air conditioning for the whole hotel, and being in a period when the climate is very changeable, you will understand that during your stay, we have stopped the air conditioning (because normally in October the nights are cool in Martigues). During a future stay, I invite you to ask for one of our rooms on the parking side, which are in the shade all afternoon. In the meantime, we hope that the attentive welcome of our teams and our location in the heart of the city have contributed to the success of your stay with us. We were a little dissapointed. We did not find it value for money . We paid a 116€ for the room for one night stay. There were no tea /coffee or a bottle or water when we arrived in the room. There were no hand towels and we had one bath towel that was most certainly needed to be replaced as it was too small. The breakfast we found very stressful as we could not see what was on offer as the breakfast was being served behind some tables. The lady serving the breakfast was very helpful. These are the reason we found it to be very expensive. We had traveled from london by car staying to different hotels on the way .

We picked the perfect hotel for seeing Frances Cabrel across the street. I think the website should indicate options of how to get there by train. The train station is out of the way, and the person at the desk told us to stay on the wrong side of the rode for the bus, so we missed it. The breakfast is wonderful. Guests should plan to eat somewhere else for dinner; just our opinion. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Basically, the title says it. I reserved two twin bed hotelrooms online at accor's website, but upon arrival we were told that these were not available, only rooms with a double bed. We needed the place to sleep, so we accepted. I rate the service 3 starts for that, staff would deserve a better rating.

Indeed, there must have been a technical problem when you have booked your rooms, because all the rooms with twin beds in our hotel were taken by a group that night, and we had no choice but to offer you a rooms with a large double bed. Thanks to your return, we have reported the incident to the IT department to prevent future occurrence. So again, please excuse us for the inconvenience caused. Pleasant Ibis in a pleasant town

In twenty years we had driven past Martigues on a number of occasions, looking down on the town from the flyover. This time we needed a handy stopover and we are very glad to have chosen this town and hotel. Martigues has a seaside atmosphere and has many eateries just a short walk along the quay. This means that the hotel is right on the edge of town and does not suffer noise interruptions as the roundabout is quiet through the night. The carpark is secure. We enjoyed a twin room with decent space and the aircon and wifi worked well. Martigues is not far from the oil refineries at Fos but the wind generally blows off-shore which allows Martigues to enjoy its sunny situation on the banks of the large etang.

We were basically satisfied with the hotel, but the English knowledge of the personnnel was terrible. It made hard the communication. We had breakfast only one morning, but when we went down almost there was nothing remained. After requesting the personnels to give some additonally, our request was ignored. It was at 9.30, the breakfast is till 10.00.

We stayed one night during our trip from Lyon to Cannes. The hotel is located walking distance near the village of Martigues. Our stay was ok, big room and confortable, people at the desk were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we encountered two problems. Water did not drain in the sink and electric plug for shaver was not usable in the bathroom. We reported the problems the next morning before check out. I don't know if I would stay in this hotel again
