There is no trash can in the room and there is no toilet brush. Air conditioning runs pretty quiet. When taking a shower in the morning, the temperature varies greatly between cold and hot. Very little water comes out of the shower

Extra helpful shuttle driver

A very nice shuttle driver helped elderly couple into van. She also had a step stool to help us. Bravo! Then, when we did not yet have French coins or cash, put a coin into the baggage cart so we could take our bags to our room. Bravo X 2!!!!

Hotel is ok for a short stay-over. The breakfast was very limited: only one person taking care of everything. No eggs available - nobody asking if you would like to have an omelette. So rather disappointing. In the evening of arrival, the hotel is being cleaned and the tyical smell of these products is hanging in the lobby area - not that welcoming.

I went to this hotel to prepare an early flight. The room was way too hot and even with the heater off, it did not change anything We were in April, outside temp was 15°C.... What the point... Then all the soap bottles were in place but just empty. In the end very bad night and bad shower, that mainly the two things you want from an hotel. That was a bad experience for me

Only one problem. At breakfast the egg boiler was too cool to boil an egg, which, after 5 minutes was completely raw! I tried with a second egg, which was stolen (probably also raw).

The proximity to the airport was extremely helpful. We were able to walk there the day before to complete our Covid test before flying back to the U.S. Returning our rental car on the morning of our flight was quick and easy. We also really appreciated the on-site restaurant in the evening. The food was good and reasonably priced.

It was an overnight stay to catch a train to Avignon in the morning and we have stayed in a few Ibis Hotels here in France. This was not a great experience since it had turned hot and there was no airconditioning working in the Hotel.

We are a couple, both age 70. We opted to stay at the Ibis Provence Marseille Aeroport due to its location near the airport and the fact we had a 6:00 AM flight the next morning. We knew the hotel would be bare bones accommodations, but we were choosing utility over creature comforts. What we didn’t know was that the staff would be so uncaring, inattentive, and inflexible in meeting our needs. We had to spend several hours after our arrival at the hotel returning a leased car, checking into our flight online, and filling out multiple documents related to Covid travel. So, when we finally went down to grab a bite to eat, it was nearly 10 PM. The restaurant was very crowded, and it would have taken an hour or more for us to eat there. We had to leave at 4:00 AM to get to the airport for a 6:00 AM flight, so we asked for a sandwich at the bar. We had to argue with the bartender to serve us (he insisted we go to the restaurant). Meanwhile, another young man at the front desk told us (a) we would miss breakfast in the morning and (b) the free shuttle would not be running at 4:00. He suggested we just eat at the airport (we had prepaid for breakfast) and that we simply walk on foot to the airport (in the dark, dragging our luggage, with no familiarity of the area or the airport complex). A female employee whom I then approached told me she would arrange an early breakfast and call us a taxi. (Finally, someone was willing to be more accommodating!) At someone’s insistence, the bartender did bring my husband a croque monsieur. By then I was too upset to eat. The next morning, breakfast was not ready at the agreed upon time, and the “taxi” called for the two of us to ride 5 mins to the airport was a black Mercedes transport van capable of seating 6-7 passengers. Our “taxi” ride cost us 30 euros, nearly a third of our 100 euro hotel bill!! We were not told in advance by the hotel staff what the price of the transport would be. This should have been a 5-10 euro expense maximum. All in all this was a miserable experience. We stayed in 11 hotels over a 30 day vacation through Portugal, Spain, and France. Travelers can put up with a lot. But a bunch of clueless young people with bad manners is not one they have to—they have choices!!! I will never stay in another Ibis Hotel, and if you care about how you are treated, you never will either!

We sincerely apologize for the disappointment of your stay and for the lack of service you have experienced. Know that it is well indicated on our sites but also at the reception our shuttle schedules and indeed this one does not start before 5am. Regarding the taxi, we are not responsible for the price, only the taxi itself announces the fare on arrival. You left in the hour of night and the taxi charges a supplement of night which I grant you is however rather exessive of or why the receptionist advised you to go there on foot, the journey is done quickly and safely, on a lighted path that the receptionist would have shown you. You also have the right to borrow luggage trolleys in front of the hotel that you can leave at the airport. Breakfast usually starts at 06:30 and we have advanced it to 04:00 for guests with an early morning flight. However, it is still possible to advance it under staff availability. Indeed, the night receptionist is alone and must finish his arrivals and complete all his tasks before the preparation of the breakfast. There were a lot of people at the restaurant that evening but know that our team is resourceful and efficient and that you could have been served quickly. We called and got central reservations and got the second to last room quite late in the evening. Staff were very efficient and helpful and quick. Room was clean and adequate for a night (I think it may have had smokers in there previously is the only negative, however long ago). They sorted us out with a table for dinner, food and wine were very good, staff worked their socks off and very friendly. Breakfast good.

Late in early out. First beer at 11.30. Staff were absolutely excellent. It was like coming back home from a hard days work, two beers and to bed. Felt the rooms would be a bit small for a longer stay; big beds in a small space. Would certainly recommend it.
