Our experience was unfortunately very poor. We booked a junior suite and found the room in a very poor state in terms of cleanliness. Although an apology was offered the standard didn't improve. We got engaged during this trip and my partner had asked to arrange something special.. He was advised the best that could be offered would be a cake but they'd “ran out” and it would be delivered the following day - it never came. Pool area is massively overcrowded. No area for adults only except spa which is seperate. If you order food and drinks at the pool the trays/plates are never taken away inciting birds. Lounge is very limited in terms of service and the same food is offered 3 times a day every day very poor variety. Ultimately this trip should have been so special and it was a huge disappointment! Would definitely not recommend or stay again.

This was our 2nd time visiting and we were slightly disappointed as this stay failed to meet our expectations albeit I would still rate it as a good stay. We came with the same expectations of our exceptional stay last year and perhaps it was the room view that wasn't as satisfactory or the food that we did not enjoy much this time (other than the breakfast). We were disappointed with our room's condition. The torn bedsheet was a major turnoff, and the sink's drainage issue was a hassle. We also missed having a dental kit and a reliable hairdryer. The air conditioning's poor performance made our stay even more uncomfortable. While the room's location was a plus, the overall experience fell short of our expectations. The torn bedsheet and the sink's drainage problem were particularly surprising, and the faulty air conditioning made it difficult to sleep.I have also photos to attach to it . I can if you need to verify . Again choose in another stay in Abu Dhabi coming similar experience so I am reconsidering to it again or not .

Most of the Staff were nice our room had to be changed as it was damp and smelt this took half a day so we lost a day of our holiday really

I really expected more it’s very over hyped and very old looking dark wood everywhere which looked tatty and dated
Restaurants for half board choice wasn’t good
Because we went out of season a lot was closed this was very annoying as we weren’t told so we couldn’t make the most of all the restaurants
It was very hot and humid so if you left the balcony door open your room became a wet mess

Our staycation at Sofitel The Palm was just okay – and honestly, not very good for the price we paid. This is a very overpriced hotel compared to what it actually provides.
The rooms: They are old and have a noticeable humidity smell. For a 5-star hotel at this price point, I expected much better maintenance and freshness.
Too many rules: The kids club has so many restrictions. I understand the sock requirement – and even that you'd have to buy socks if you forgot them. But a daily time limit for kids? That's just weird. It's not like we planned to leave our children there all day. I've never seen this in any other 5-star hotel.
The strangest part: Room service charges a delivery fee. I have never, ever seen this at a 5-star hotel. It felt like being nickel-and-dimed at every turn, which completely contradicts the luxury image they try to project.
Final verdict: This was our first time at Sofitel The Palm, and most probably our last. For the price, there are far better options in Dubai that actually deliver a 5-star experience without the hidden fees and unnecessary restrictions.

I am writing to express my severe disappointment with the service during my recent 2-day stay. As a Gold member, I expected a welcoming, 5-star experience, but your staff was consistently unaccommodating.
I was denied any room upgrades or better views, and the front desk completely failed to follow up on a promised room change for my second night. Furthermore, room service was unacceptably slow and required constant reminders. Most concerningly, I was served chicken despite explicitly ordering and double-checking for a vegetarian meal.
Overall, the complete lack of hospitality and attention to detail fell far short of the standards expected at a Sofitel.

This is our 4th visit and despite the existing unrest issues in the area everyone and everything at the hotel was as if nothing was happening! We had a slight issue with our room as we were late in arrival and the hotel was full. However this was quickly resolved. Super job and a big thank you.

Had a relaxing stay at Sofitel the palm. Special mention to Lorenzo for granting us a late checkout. The only thing that bothered us was that the light in our room switched on automatically a few times and even in between the night.

Customer is above standard, room and facilities are clean and well maintained, the only negative is the men's spa was overcrowded. My husband ended up leaving the spa as there's no available locker and no space to relax, he said he could not even walk out of the locker room because of the amount of people in it, so he went to the lounge instead to relax, however this is also full and no available table except for outdoor tables which with a weather of 45° temperature is not a good way of relaxing.

Stayed here, as a couple, from 31st Aug - 10th September on a half board basis at a total cost of €4,043.68 (including transfers from/to the airport) - Booked with Emirates Holidays. We had a fantastic experience during our stay – the hotel was fabulous, the staff were lovely and extremely helpful, the food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing. We had upgraded our accommodation and it was totally worth the extra cost – the suite was huge, with a very large balcony and spacious living area. The upgrade also gave us access to the Premier Lounge for Afternoon Tea each day from 2.00 - 4.00 p.m. and for Happy Hour daily from 5.00 - 7.00 p.m. The hotel has it’s own private beach with padded sun loungers and pool towels. It is possible to order drinks while on the beach – there is an on-call waiter service. A special mention to Baha & Dhiraj in the Premier Lounge who looked after us during our stay; to Sandi & Fionna who were our chatty & bubbly hostesses at the Buffet Restaurant; to Arshad, Umesh, Nourand & Felix who served us in the Buffet Restaurant and to the housekeeping team of Vingyak, Kamal & Ramzan. You are all a credit to yourselves and to the hotel – Thank you!

The place is nice i been regularly visiting since i knew the place and this time was for my birthday with my friends and we booked 2 suits one for me and the other for me and my friends
But it was so disappointing to find the hotel team totally careless about customers satisfaction
The most unacceptable part of our stay was staff entered our room without permission we were all females and they knew it . If there was a male with us they wouldn’t done that or act that way — not once, but twice. They did not wait for us to open the door or give them permission to enter. On one occasion even after us telling them to wait, they did not even ring the doorbell or wait for 30 sec at least. They simply walked into an occupied room unexpectedly and we were all Muslim females.
This is a serious privacy and security concern!!!!

What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff, we asked them to prepare the sofa bed, and they seemed visibly annoyed that we were requesting additional assistance. Their behavior was rude and unprofessional, and the way they handled and throwing down the items made it very clear that they were unhappy to help. We were polite throughout the entire interaction and never spoke to them disrespectfully or in a demanding way.
All what they suggested to as a compensation is a late check out, which I already asked for before and they didn’t accept so I planned my day with early check out meaning I no longer need it 👎🏻👎🏻
I told them I will accept free or partial price of future stays they said they will get back to me about it but they didn’t
I really loved the place that I wanted to spend many of my occasions there
But breaking my safety and privacy and the way that nothing was solved afterwards is a big warning sign
