Great service from staff. Got an upgrade due to status. Wanted a twin bed but got a king due to upgrade which was solved for using the Hollywood twin method. Water supply stopped at one point!

I felt the staff and hospitality was superb. Although I was not impressed with the rooms, furnitures and fixtures. All of it looked quite dated. I paid top dollar for the room but didn't get a good feeling.
I had even asked for a better room but I was informed that I had stayed in the premium suite.

I reached at 10 am, and they were very accommodating in letting me have my room early (thanks Mr. Ayush). The room was super cozy and full of amenities. Most impressively, no plastic bottles at all, just glass ones. On the 8th floor, there was pindrop silence at night, which was important for me. And just as I began to worry if my luggage was overweight, i realised there was a scale in the bathroom. All in all, I'm so very glad that I chose the Sofitel.

Location was excellent but it was not a 5-star hotel experience. The room was spacious but lacked storage room. My room smelled of mould and felt damp. Even the bed sheets were almost wet. I asked for a solution to the problem and was given a dehumidifier, which effectively removed moisture from the air. However, the staff did not empty the water tank unless I specifically asked them to do so.
Also, I would pay attention to the volume of music. At the lobby, it was difficult to hear the staff speaking. At the breakfast, the live music was nice but the volume was too loud.

I had a brief but comfortable stay, room was appropriate sized. I left my toiletries kit behind and the hotel was kind enough to courier it back to me. They even refused payment of the courier charges. This is the type of customer service and comfort everyone should aspire for.
