Hello, I enjoyed very much your hotel, the location, the gardens outside, and the bar/restaurant. Your staff are very kind and competent as well. I found the cleaning of the room a bit too aggressive. I did not want my towels replaced every day, so following the instructions on the sign I kept them hanging, but my towels were replaced every day. I did not want my room reorganized each day, and I did not need the trash can emptied or the bed made, etc, so I put up the "Do not disturb" sign when I left each morning. But despite this the cleaning staff came in, reorganized my room, made the bed, etc, each day, and removed the "Do not disturb" sign. They accidentally threw away something that I wanted to keep, something that probably looked to them like garbage, because they were trying to clean for me. In the afternoon, after the room had been cleaned already, I took a nap, and I assumed that I did not need to move the "Do not disturb" sign back outside the door because the cleaning staff had already come in. But then another staff person knocked very loudly and woke me up to ask if the room was made up. I was too confused from being asleep to explain that unfortunately yes it was made up, which I did not want. So it is a lovely hotel and your staff are very kind and competent. I'm they are trying very hard to please the clients, but in my case they tried too hard. I would have preferred to not have my towels removed every day, not have my room cleaned and reorganized every day, and not have a visit in the afternoon to confirm that my room had been reorganized. I am unfamiliar with the customs of French hotels so perhaps I need to ask for privacy explicitly at the beginning of my stay. I will do that next time. I would definitely stay at the Novotel again, it is a great hotel.

I came for business while my wife joined me for leisure. The room was very nice. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was VERY well done. Enjoyed my stay and will be hotel of choice in Nantes in the future.
