Always great service and ideal location for overnight stay before next day flight. 2 min walk to North Terminal and 10 mins shuttle ride to South. Plenty of food & drink options, comfortable clean rooms with super friendly staff.

We generally stay both when we land in the UK and when we return back to the USA. Sadly this return trip to the USA was fraught with a bad nights sleep and a chaotic breakfast(the part we usually enjoy the most). The bed was uncomfortable sit to the now tired topper that was like sleeping on a banana skin slipping and sliding and eventually and repeatedly becoming untucked and bunching up. Break fast appeared to be listening a free for all with customer sitting themselves where they please including where we had already been seated, the food itself, eggs aside which were few and far between and third for rubbery and over “ke-t warm’, was at its usual good standard.

Dear Sofitel - we feel our experience at Gatwick Sofitel did not live up to the other Sofitels we have stayed at. Our ‘Superior’ Room was not exactly superior - quite small with no desk for any objects, just a chaise longue which wasn’t much use. The bathroom sink drain made a dreadful noise each time water was run and there was no magnifying mirror for shaving or make up. The lighting was also very low. Not our best experience of Sofitel!

We stay here most times we fly from Gatwick. Although we live less than an hour’s drive away it takes all the stress out of starting your holiday being on site the night before, no worries about traffic jams etc, and the food at Vanda’s is excellent so it’s like you’re on holiday already.

Family room was lovely and value for money . We stayed twice before and after holiday abroad . However first stay we ate at the Vive restaurant . Lovely settings but the food was worse meal ever had in a restaurant and we refused to pay for the mains. 3 of the 4 meals was awful and the fish was as flat as a pancake . As we sat we noticed other couple complaining about their meal . Manager did not charge us for mains but I could not get over how bad it was . We had to get a deliveroo on our second stay. Was not even cheap prices but I have had better school dinners . Sorry but you asked for review
