The Novotel Danube staff is wonderful! Every single one of them, from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping staff. On the day I arrived, I was told the hotel was fully booked, so I had to wait quite a bit in the lobby. The front desk was dealing with many technical issues (beyond their control). Fire alarms were going off, one elevator was out of service, the power went out, and the computers, network, and Wi-Fi were down. And yet, they handled all of this like champs, with professionalism. I saw them working together to identify the cause of the issue and develop a solution as a team. By the time I checked in at 3 PM, everything was fixed. Great job by the entire hotel staff dealing with a very stressful situation! Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room has always been the biggest downside at this location. This stay was especially bad; I was sweating in the room the entire time. For this reason, I will be staying at a different hotel in the summertime, but in winter I have no problem coming back.
