A very down market hotel experience

The only good thing is it's location but that results in traffic noise, see below. As a premium hotel called a 'Styles' it has no style at all, just a tired attempt at cheap art which turns it into a down market property. As a Brit I'm used to coffee/tea making in my room, no, you have to leg it down to the public foyer in your pyjamas to make tea! On complaining that the room was far too hot, management stated they always turn off the air conditioning at the end of August and couldn't do anything about it apart from opening the windows, which of course gave us traffic noise all night. This together with the endless humming noise from the constant bathroom fan resulted in a very poor sleep experience. Consequently, this experience together with an almost useless online booking system, will be my last attempt using Accor.

Concerning in-room tea and coffee facilities, they are not part of the ibis Styles brand standards. However, we take note of your remark and will consider how we can improve accessibility and comfort for guests with this preference. We would like to sincerely apologise about the room temperature and the ventilation noise. The air-conditioning is deactivated seasonally, but it is clear that the situation you experienced was uncomfortable, and we should have handled it more effectively. We are currently reviewing our procedures to ensure that this does not negatively impact our guests in the future. Booked an Ibis style Hotel in Dinham to finish off our holiday in France, due to ferry issues I needed to change my hotel, with ample warning but you would not change my hotel to Roscoff. I will not be using Ibis Hotels ever again and will be informing all my friends of the experience.

Very small room next to alley. HVAC did not work, room abnormally warm. Left window open to moderate temperature. Alley noise -- trucks, 2am revelers, made for disrupted sleep. Staff were cordial and the petit-déjeuner was very good.
