The hotel itself could use a refresh but it looks like they started with the most important parts - the rooms! Our room was one of the nicest I've ever booked in France (and I've been to France about 25+ times (in general, I primarily stay in 3- or 4-star hotels). The renovated room was truly beautiful and so well designed. I always LOVE when the shower is fully closed in and cannot understand why any hotel still chooses the half glass wall - water inevitably goes everywhere, which can cause flooding, leaking and possibly mold! Our room's bathroom was fabulous, fully closed shower doors, marble everywhere and even had the towel warmer. (The only thing I'd add would be a night light for those toilet visits in the middle of the night). And while I do not want to focus on this aspect, it should not be ignored - the Air Conditioning in this room was the best one I've ever had in France! It's even better than the one we have at home (and I'm American, LOL)! I booked a room with a balcony and we overlooked the Place de la Republique. It was a very nice view and it was in a great location. As I mentioned earlier, the hotel needs to undergo a bit of a refresh as its corridors and lobby area were a bit dated. The staff was very nice to us and there's even a cafe/restaurant connected to the hotel right in the Pl de la Republique. There is parking right beneath the hotel - which was extremely convenient. It was easy to come and go and navigate to other destinations outside Limoges. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit it again someday.

The Mercure is in a great spot overlooking the main square. It is lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was small but well presented and perfect for us. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to explore Limoges.

It was disappointing not have USB sockets in the room. Reception were very helpful and kindly lent us one. Also, paper cups ? In a Mercure ? There were no drinking glasses either. I know they were also probably available upon request from reception, but who wants to keep going up and down asking for items that really should be provided. So saying the room was fine, the bed comfortable and cleanliness was of a high standard.

A well situated hotel for visiting Limoges. Nice large bedroom and newly refurbished bathroom. Very good standard. Very clean. Staff friendly. Our only issue with our stay was breakfast. We were quite disappointed. We stay all over France in a range of Accor Hotels, and it was possibly the worst we have had. There was a relatively good choice, but not a lot of it. For example, 1 sausage, only 6 slices of cheese, a very small bowl of fromage blanc to serve from, 2 croissants. We have stayed in other Mercure hotels and there was always sufficient to go around. We felt as though we were taking the last piece of everything!! The scrambled eggs were cold too. On the whole, not great.

Here for just one night, en route to Poitiers from Marseilles. I arrived on Europe Day, so Limoges had basically shut down, but I enjoyed the quietness. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed at the Mercure Limoges Royal Limousin and overall had a really pleasant experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of everything, making it ideal for exploring the city. We booked a Privilege room with a balcony, which was definitely worth it. The view over the plaza was fantastic and added a lovely touch to our stay. The room itself was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped, with a very comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The only downsides were relatively minor but noticeable. The pillows were quite firm with no alternative options available, which affected comfort a little. For a Privilege room, we also expected better in-room amenities such as proper cups and teaspoons rather than paper cups and wooden stirrers, along with a wider selection of teas. Breakfast was also quite limited in choice, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, a great stay in a brilliant location, with just a few small touches that could elevate the experience even further.

My wife and I were greeted warmly at the hotel its central location is perfect overlooking the main square in Lemoge and we’d recommend upgrading for a balcony. If you can the views were amazing and being so central everything is around you within minutes the rooms were lovely and comfortable. The staff were excellent and highly recommended.

We loved our two days in this hotel. The location is perfect, near all the sightseeing objects, the personnel is very polite and helpful. The size of the room was big, it was very comfortable, no noises exept from the road. Big panoramic windows, a lot of light, but it was possible to make it dark using blinds at night. The only thing I would mention as not so good is lack of bath accessories: no shower cap, cotton pads, or brushes - nothing but hand soap and shower gel.
