The lodgings were well located and clean and the breakfast was very nice. However, I had several problems. First, when I tried to pay for my reservation, the system could not locate it. I booked and paid for a separate room at a higher price. Then when I arrived at the hotel, they could not find that payment and charged me again for the original reservation. That problem was worked out the next day, but the lower priced reservation was the one reversed. Second, when I was using the unsecured internet, someone changed my Apple ID. I got a notification and was able to change it using my cell phone and cellular data access, but any attempt to use the hotel internet again was met with further attempts to breach my Apple Account. Third, I accidentally left my journal in my room on the last day I was there. When I returned to the room, I realized someone had moved it, since it had been on the floor beneath another package that had fallen off the desk during the night. When I opened the journal, there was a short black hair (not mine), suggesting that someone other than me had opened it and reviewed it and possibly taken not of some of the confidential and sensitive contents (including financial information). While initially I was amused that this would happen in Alexanderplatz, the East Berlin site of so much Cold War intrigue, it stopped being funny almost immediately. I contacted the individuals at the desk multiple times about this, and I do not think they ever reported the problem to the management. Some quick looks between the *young* individuals staffing the desk suggest that they may have been involved or that they had been apprised of this problem multiple times before.

Good location. Room was fine,not cleaned good but fine - these is from the good things only. HK two time enter the room without knocking, knowing ( hopefully) that the room was occupied. You can’t take iron to the room,you need to iron your privet stuff at the reception in front of all guests. Awful.

Decent value, breakfast fine, front of house staff were great. Clean. Location is good for transport links and facilities. This is a budget hotel. Twin beds very close and clothes storage space challenging. But good value. I would use again.
