The hotel was a bit further out of the centre than I was expecting given the price and not many things in the immediate surround . But there was a bus and tram close by. . The entrance lobby is functional and staff spoke good English . The breakfast was extensive a nice addition was make your own waffles . The communal areas by the bedrooms were a little dated. The room itself was a good size with a nice addition of hairdryer in the bathroom. The main down side was no kettle in the room as someone was in a business trip I would have liked coffee before going downstairs and a peppermint tea at night.

The hotel is well located for Alexanderplatz and Prenzlauerberg; both a walkable distance. Tram 52 is a useful method of transport nearby, but during our stay was replaced by a bus due to roadworks. The hotel is fairly basic, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a good choice. Walk up to Prenzlauerberg for a wonderful choice of cafes and restaurants.

The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly enough, and the location is great. One thing I generally like about Ibis is that you know what you’re getting, and under normal circumstances this would have been a very good stay. Unfortunately, we had no hot water for the entire three days of our stay. After long, hot late-summer days exploring Berlin, especially following a stressful journey there, having to take ice-cold showers was hardly acceptable. I was ultimately compensated, but I would much rather have paid the full price and simply had a hot shower. To their credit, once I contacted the hotel by email, my compensation request was handled quickly and completely hassle-free. Given the otherwise positive experience and how professionally the issue was resolved, I would still recommend the hotel. Without the hot-water problem, it would have been a 10/10 stay.

Well located, but disappointing experience The hotel is well located, which was a positive. However, the overall experience was disappointing. I accidentally made a reservation for two people and tried to correct it, but the team told me the price would remain the same and didn't fix it. In the end, they still tried to charge me for two breakfasts instead of one, which was frustrating. On top of that, the shower had almost no water pressure, making it difficult to use comfortably. Overall, the location is good, but the service and room facilities could definitely be improved.

The hotel is close to my office, with air conditioning and comfortable beds, but otherwise nothing special. My main concern was what happened on the morning of check-out. At around 9:00 a.m., a male cleaner knocked on my door and then opened it immediately, without waiting for a response. I was still in the room. There is no reason to enter a room that early on check-out day without giving the guest time to answer. As a woman travelling alone, this made me feel unsafe, and I would think twice before staying here again. Also, my towels were replaced every day even though I hung them up. This creates unnecessary water and energy waste and does not match the hotel’s sustainability claims.

This is an ideal place to stay as it's close to the Alexanderplatz and a variety of trams and trains. The staff were helpful and friendly (apart from the girl in the bar who was very rude) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel, good location close to the city centre while not having the noise of the city inside the hotel, the tram is close by, that will bring you into the city (and back to the hotel after a long day ;) ) Housekeeping was really nice, respectful of our stuff and knocking before entering. We were there when it was a whopping 36° outside, but inside the hotel it was nice and cool without having an aircon blasting. We heard nothing from other rooms or the hallway, that was awesome. Overall while the room itself was simple, 2 beds, TV, a small desk and a bathroom, it was exactly what we needed for our citytrip to Berlin.
