I’ll start with what went well: The hotel is well located and the breakfast had quite a lot of choice. However, we were really surprised by the lack of smile, or even acknowledgement from the staff at the reception pretty much every time we had to interact with them. We were left particularly dismayed by the interaction with the receptionist on our arrival: we had left our luggage in the storage room earlier in the day. When we came back to check-in, she opened the room for us to get our luggage, did not bother to even look up from her phone and look at the tickets we handed her, and let us take our luggage back without checking that it was ours. In other words, it’s very easy to get your stuff stolen in the storage room, which is the opposite of what you would expect. When she checked us in, she remained as uninterested, constantly on her phone when we were not directly looking at her in the eyes. Now for the room: the bed and pillows are just very poor quality, it’s difficult to sleep properly.
