The room was not of good standards, especially the bathroom, was very old and not properly cleaned(but that was more accumulation of dirt etc from being old, e.g tiles in the shower. too few and small pillows

This hotel is in a very good position for sightseeing in Berlin. Trams are just outside to get into Alexander Platz. Rooms very comfortable. And excellence stay.

This hotel is well located and clean. However our five-day stay was spoilt by a series of breakdowns: a smashed wall socket was repaired, but the bedside light didn't work after the repair; the curtain was partly off the rail (also repaired); the door lock broke and we were forced to change rooms mid-stay; on the day the lock broke we were promised the room door would be locked manually by staff, but it was left open all day (luckily nothing was stolen); for two days the TV was down; the new room we were given had a smashed coat hook and carpet stains.
