I had a great stay at ibis Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the whole team—from reception and housekeeping to the managers—was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The breakfast team was fantastic, and the waffle corner was definitely a highlight! The location directly next to the main train station is incredibly convenient too. I was traveling alone with my kids by train and this Ibis was in a great location for us. We used a lot of public transportation and it was just in front of the door. Really convenient! The breakfast was also very good for us, just the fruits didn't taste good, the rest was fine. Just don't like the transparent Bathroom doors in general, but the room was good, also at a good temperature.

Great location just near the Berlin Hbf. Staff were friendly and had no problems conversing in English. Room was clean and a good size, however disappointed to find that the air conditioning was quite weak as seems to be the custom in Europe. Slippers were not provided and had to be purchased for 3 euro at the front desk. There was also no minibar, hot water, tea or coffee facilities in the room. For the price of the room, it seems fair but visitors should be aware that these amenities are not provided.

Had a great stay but the cleaner took my sons Lego boxes and he was gutted. Been traveling around Europe for 3 weeks, he bought a set in Madrid and a set in Paris, we carried the boxes all around with us - he’s a collector and keeps every single box. Each time we got to a hotel he would take the sets out of the boxes and put them by his bed - he’s 8 years old. When we would leave he would pack up the boxes and off we’d go. He did the same at your hotel - putting the boxes to one side - NOT IN THE BIN AND NOWHERE NEAR THE BIN. When we got back late one night he came in crying as both his boxes were gone - the cleaner had taken them - the cleaner didn’t take an empty takeaway coffee cup or an empty pizza box - but did take my sons Lego boxes. Went to reception - they check the main rubbish bins - no Lego boxes to be found - nothing anyone could do about it - my son was, and still is gutted. Don’t understand why a cleaner would remove Lego boxes (clearly not rubbish) and leave empty food containers (clearly rubbish)

The hotel is placed close the Berlin Hfb with almost all transport connections. There is a lot of shops and restaurants available (almost 24/7) around. The distance to the city center is a few minutes walk. Rooms are small but clean and well air-conditioned. Maybe to add some hooks to hang the clothes – especially when you are not alone in the room. Unfortunately some rooms are oriented to the yard and a window wall of the other part of the block. During the heavy rain the rain drips are a bit noisy. There is a bistro and rest area available in the lobby (bottled drinks, snacks and frozen small food). The staff is patient and open to help.

The hotel was clean and modern but very barebones. No kettle or fridge in the room and was pretty small but perfectly serviceable. Drinks were very expensive, especially the coffee considering it was self service. Unfortunately I had an upsetting encounter with staff which left me humiliated - I had removed my shoes due to an injury caused by my disability and popped down to the lobby briefly to get a drink to take back up to my room. One of the members of staff very bluntly chastised me in front of everyone and I left embarrassed. My fault I suppose but I cried myself to sleep that night and haven't stopped thinking about it. Maybe I should have realised but there wasn't a warning there I could see and I just wish the whole thing never happened.

This was my first time in Berlin. Lorena at the front desk was very nice during check-in, but the rest of my stay was disappointing. The lobby felt chaotic when I arrived, and the breakfast service was terrible. The waiter cleared my table and took my food away while I briefly stood up to grab a glass of water. When he saw me return, he just said "uh-oh." I felt so unwelcome that I cut my two-night stay short, checked out after one night, and moved to another hotel.
