Our room was comfortable and very clean . The staff at reception and in the breakfast room were all friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our week here sightseeing. There's an underground 2 mins walk and a tram stop right outside, so a perfect location. We hired the bicycles from the hotel 2 different days during our stay ,which was great too.

An unfortunate incident slightly dampened the overall experience: on our final evening, the toilet became blocked. When we spoke to reception, they informed us that the housekeeping staff was no longer on duty (it was 6 p.m.) and that they would try to fix it themselves; they also mentioned that there were no other rooms available. When we returned later that evening, the problem remained unresolved, and we hadn't received any updates. After reaching out again, they fortunately managed to find us another room for the night. So, that ended well, after all

Good location and a tasty, varied breakfast. However, the furniture was old and damaged, and the room was quite noisy because of the tram. There were also no slippers, which I consider a very basic hotel amenity.

Good location, helpful staff, but dirty rooms (especially carpets), blankets with hols and it looked like some of the pillowcases weren't changed after previous visitors as there were many hairs (not ours). Overall feeling in the room - dirty beds and carpets.

A nice stay with comfortable beds and relatively quiet. The room was quite hot and the aircon was very noisy, so we had to sleep with the window open, but the location is great for sightseeing without being too central and noisy. Breakfast is quite expensive, but there are plenty of good restaurants within a short walk.

We all know that Covid radically reduced the quality of service provided in hotels: daily cleaning, mini-bar refreshment, decent food and drink availability and interaction with helpful staff. Having been a guest in this hotel before, during and after I can say that it is now as good as it ever was. This is not something that can be said for many hotels.

Appreciate the fast check-in / check-out process, as well as the great location in city center. Bar is nice too! Two items for improvement: The A/C didn't seem to work. Although on 20 degrees, it didn't cool down the room. Secondly, the soap dispenser is placed not over the sink but next to the sink. As a result, soap drops on the waste basket and floor, and if you are unlucky like me, on your pants.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure...however the rooms were a bit small and the breakfast bar didn't have a huge choice for vegetarian / vegans considering the price. Excellent location for transport.
