Receptionist did not welcome me at check-in. No smile from all 3 receptionists which I interacted with. Arrived early and was told there may not be space to leave luggage so can’t hold luggage until check-in time, then went to check with colleagues and came back to say I can leave luggage. Taken to back of house to leave luggage (guests should not be accessing back of house areas). Upon return to check-in, receptionist collected passport, then was going to leave it on Reception desk while both the receptionist and I stepped away to collect luggage while there were other guests in reception. Was told it was safe on the desk when questioned and had to ask if I could have it back to take it with me. Then once back at Reception was asked for it back even though he had it when I was checking in at the beginning. Was asked ‘which luggage is yours’ even though it was tagged and did not even check the tag numbers matched Had to step over cord of vacuum cleaner to collect luggage. Room number told to me aloud at check-in when there were other people in lobby area. Felt very unsafe travelling as a solo female guest. No hand/face towels.

Well located. Efficient staff. Comfortable, basic room. Well-cleaned and aired. Everything works and is in good condition. Hallways slightly dingy, they could do with better air.
