Located by Potsdamer Platz the hotel is perfect. Nevertheless the quality of the rooms are a sight for sore eyes. The beds are terribly bad as the matress is so hard, you'd be better off sleeping on the wooden floor. With a room just by the elevator it can be quite noisy when guests return from the city late at night. Do not use the aircondition, as it doesn't show temperature. Either it will be very cold or very hot - same goes for the shower. Chances are the water will be cold or near boiling. We didn't even get out towels changed after the first night - so we got back to a room with semi-dry towels... No cubboard or anywhere to put your clothes and generally the rooms can generally be described as spartan decor in the way, that there is nothing in the room other then a bed, a desk with a stool (not even af chair). The bathroom could be described as a hospital bathroom. If it was a stay for one night - it could be a solution, if nothing else is available - but I'd rather go to a hostel - which I consider a higher quality the Ibis budget. Breakfast was barely ok - scrambled eggs had the texture of a sponge and quite dry. Sausages either overdone or near raw. Bread was fine. Generally - on behalf of this stay - I will never again go for Ibis Budget. Parking in the basement is possible, but its so narrow, that the risk of hitting the walls are eminent. Impossible to get around in the in a large sedan and quite expensive parking as well. Staff was very nice, but unfortunately it cannot compensate for the really low quality room.
