Big, comfortable bed, clean room, a good location and helpful staff BUT massively let down by the temperature, noise and light. The A/C would not be turned on as it was March, however our room was a sauna (front of the building, majority of the wall was windows). Reception provided a fan, however this was incredibly noisy and only circulated the hot air inside the room. We kept the curtains closed during the day, and the windows open to let fresh air in, however given we were on the 1st floor and on the corner of the street, we had to close these at night given how noisy (trams, people, vehicles) the street was (we live in London and are used to noise at night, but not this level). Additionally, the edges of the curtains were not well sealed to prevent light bleeding in - there needs to be overlap between the curtains or a boarder / something to keep the curtains sticking to the wall and each other that prevent gaps for light. The layout of our room was funky, and there could have been better placed plug sockets (for example, there wasn't a socket each side of the bed), but it was comfortable and suitable for a city break. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, but there's only so much they can do when the infrastructure is not well set up.

Returning to this hotel for countless time. This time we got a room facing a courtyard and it was amazing.. so quiet and comfy, we had a great sleep. Also when entering a room, bottles of water and small snack and welcome message was waiting for us, that was a really nice lovely touch. Thank you. For the rest, our two night stay was as usual, very good and smooth. Receptionist were very kind and nice. But again, what we praise the most is the room facing the courtyard since this give you a really quiet stay, which is mandatory for us, light sleepers. Thank you so much!

This hotel does not meet the basic standards of a Formule 1, let alone that of an Ibis Styles (i.e. 3.5 *). The breakfast and the check in staff at the Ibis were good. However, everything else at this poorly run Ibis Styles Berlin Mitte was terrible. The front windows of the hotel were filthy and looked as if they had not been cleaned in over 6 months. Our room was worse. The carpet had numerous dirty stains. The shower and wash hand basin were located in the middle of the room. The show was tiny. The shower door did not open fully. The cover of the hair dryer cover came off in our hand revealing the bare electrical wires below. Not all of the lights in the rooms worked. This was pointed out to the reception staff on our first morning in the hotel. The light remained broken during our stay. The curtains die not fully fit the windows and were dirty. The TV was not straight on the wall. Its electrics were dangerous. Room cleaning was nonexistent. I have stayed in numerous Ibis hotels in Europe. This hotel does not meet the Ibis not the Ibis Styles standard in any way. It is dirty, poorly run and badly maintained.
