Room was modern but felt crowded with unnecessary furniture. Bathroom was well laid out. Spa was relaxing. Breakfast was chaotic and a real let down, choice and quality of food was poor and staff were unattentive.

My family and I had a fantastic experience at Sofitel Munich. They were incredibly accommodating and courteous throughout our entire stay and really made our first international trip with our 18 month old daughter special. I didn't realize how family friendliness can impact a trip, but that demonstrated how much better it can be when effort is put into that category.

Great staff out dated rooms

First, the staff was amazing. This hotel is beautiful the lobby and hotel is beautiful until you walk into the room. It’s like another world. The room was very outdated with ugly furniture that didn’t match. We had a king bed which was actually 2 twin beds pushed together so if you are trying to get romantic someone is falling into the crack. The room cleaning staff was not good at all. and there was not much privacy between the room and bathroom. For this price point I think they need some updating and cleaning staff training.

The hotel and the staff were great. We enjoyed the facilities. The areas for improvement are: (a) communication – when I placed the booking months ago, I asked for connecting rooms due to having young children, but nobody communicated with me in relation to that request, and it was not until I checked in at the hotel that I was informed that the suites that I had booked could not be interconnected, and (b) the rooms were very hot, even with the air-conditioning at its lowest. We ended up turning off the air-conditioning because the rooms were cooler without it on, but that also meant there was no airflow.
