The staff member you mentioned is probably one of our trainees, who have not finished their training yet and just need a bit more practice in some situations. The refrigerators in the rooms are locked, but a key can always be picked up at the reception. Our hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which will also improve the air conditioning. The location near Dusseldorf, Wuppertal and Duisburg were ideal. The staff were kind, generous and extremely helpful. The complimentary access to the nearby gym was also a huge plus. The rooms are a little dated and the lack of AC is problematic when it's warmer and humid. Otherwise, it's an excellent place to use as a base to explore all the cities and towns nearby.

While the location of the hotel was great, it was a bit of a struggle to find where you can park. There is a sign pointing only to the street, there aren't any signs pointing to the actual parking lot. The rooms have no AC, it got so extremely hot in my room that I ended up with a migraine attack and had to cancel my plans. I paid for a comfort room for the fridge, upon arrival the fridge was locked, meaning I couldn't even have proper cold water while in the room. It says that its a four star hotel, but this honestly felt more like a two star hotel. I chose this hotel to treat myself after a hard year, but I will definitely not be coming back. It may be great for one night, but not for multiple.

There was no working AC. We managed to borrow a fan but we had two rooms and had to pass the fan between the two. Although it was very hot weather, the room temperaturę was not what we expected because the hotel was advertised as having AC. It was very uncomfortable. Our party included people with health conditions and sensory issues that made the heat even more difficult to cope with. We also felt the overall standard of the building was not the same as other 4 star hotels in the group. We booked for a different hotel for our return trip. The staff did their best to help and were friendly.

In the summer heat there is no air to breathe in the room, no A/C, no ventilator. And when opened the window, people were in the outside terrace drinking and chatting well past 23:00, so no option to get a good night’s rest. It took 2 calls and basic explanation to the reception, why people should continue to hang out in the lobby instead of outside terrace. Because of this I cut my stay short.

I was in this hotel for 3 nights during a business trip. Check-in and check-out were quick, staff were friendly and welcoming. I liked the room (Standard Room with Twin Beds); it was spacious and clean. Quite a big working desk with a comfortable chair is a big plus, as I had to work remotely sometimes. Tea and coffee, kettle is available in the room. One of the biggest advantages is two free parking lots. There is a McDonald's just opposite the hotel.

This was our second stay and it's a perfect location for us. Quiet, friendly and helpful staff. My only minor complaint is that the rooms are very warm. This year we got a fan from the staff and that helped a lot, but would be nice to have had one there when we arrived. Otherwise too warm to sleep.

Breakfast, staff and location were all perfectly fine, the cleanliness and facilities were a little aging. The room was perfectly sufficient, but I think there must have been a drainage or sewage issue as the room didn't smell nice (particularly the bathroom). I asked for soap to be topped up and it wasn't - I think perhaps if they're using a cleaning contractor - there's definitely some improvements to be made there!
