I am a frequent All Accor member who regularly books the Casino package deals at the MERCURE Hotel Duisburg City . During check in a new receptionist named Ahmed made an inappropriate and unprofessional comment regarding my room rate, calling it’s pretty cheap and comparing to a walk-in guest rate. Discussing or judging a guest’s rate at the front desk entirely uncalled for especially to a repeat customer using legitimate program privileges. Management needs to ensure new hires understand basic hospitality etiquette and guest privacy.

Good stay but was very confusing at check in. I always check in online two days before and normally room is always ready after 3pm. The person on reception took my email got me to sign a form and was told to comeback later. Had no communication from reception so sat in the bar area for nearly an hour. Went back down to reception then was given a room but not the twin room I booked but a double bed room.

Nice refurbishment in the reception area, room was spacious, personell helpful and friendly, only the cleanliness of the room could habe been better. Housekeeping missed quite a few clumps of dust, crumbs of some sort on the floor and sofa and plastic rubbish also on the floor.

Very nice hotel, comfortable and a well appointed bathroom. We found it hard to control the temperatures as we found it very warm for us, the windows open inwards so we can’t keep them open at night with curtains closed. Nice bed and bedding. Location is perfect especially for the main station

For 200€ / night it can’t be true. Rooms are ok but clearly do not deserve such a high price. Service 0 , am still waiting for iron to come. The towel was with a gigantic hole in the middle and of course was not replaced. Welcome drink with restrictions ( never faced it before).
