Having previously stayed at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it I had high hopes for this trip. Unfortunately, in my first room there severe black mould all over the ceiling of the bathroom and in the grouting of the shower. When notifying reception they somewhat reluctantly agreed to switch my room. The second room also had a mould in the shower, but to lesser extent than the first room so I just put up with it due to only being a short trip. I was also changed from a double room to a twin room whilst navigating the mould issue. The sauna was out of service, but this was not mentioned on check-in and I did not find out until I was actually hoping to use the facilities. The amenities were a key factor in choosing this hotel for my business trip, and whilst I understand sometimes there are uncontrollable events that can lead them to be out of service, the hotel should as a minimum be communicating this to guests on check-in. All round pretty poor experience, and left feeling very disappointed given how much I’d enjoyed my initial stay a few years ago.

I will say, one can stay in 1*hotel or ant hostel but dont waste your money by booking and staying here. Im still in the hotel and what a waste on money. We have following issue and it is still not resolved. 1. We are in the hotel for past 3 nights and we dont have hot water in the bathroom. It's month of February and it is impossible to have shower with cold water. We had informed reception several times but no improvements. They inform us as they have some technical issue and they are trying to resolve it. 2. Aircon is not working at all. Eventually today its become warm in daytime and we need aircon, but its not working. Again as per staff they have technical issue. They are offering us to have stacking fan in the room. 3. Spa is not working. We had booked the hotel few days back and they informed us spa is working fine, upon check in they told us due to technical issue it's not working. 4. Very poor room cleaning. We have some tissue and garbage on floor and its 4th day today but its not moved or cleaned till now. We still have to stay for a night and they are not offering us even another room. I had asked other guest and i think entire hotel had issue with aircon and hot water. Please don't waste your money by boiling this hotel, there are plenty of other hotels around this.

Rooms were clean Staff were nice Lobby restaurant food is not very good. Breakfast is nice however. One of the reasons we booked was the spa. However a day before we arrived it had to close for renovations. This was disappointing but the staff gave us a discount… still, we would not have chosen if we had known.

Superior room was spacious and comfortable. On the 200 bus route which was really handy.The in-room safe did not function and was not fixed despite reporting it. Breakfast was very good but restaurant in the evening was most disappointing. Menu was short with little vegetarian options apart from the ubiquitous vegan burger which we would avoid, so had to go down the road to the Sardinian restaurant, which was fine.
