What a great place to stay! Excellent location only steps away from the famous old cathedral, shopping and restaurants. Convenient parking at a secured garage with Mercure reserved places (the front desk has to buzz you in). Comfortable rooms and a wonderful breakfast buffet. Very friendly, congenial staff who surprised me the morning of my birthday with a table set and decorated for the occasion! Now that's a very special touch! Exceptional staff like Aitzi, Bianka and the two ladies at the registration desk who notified the restaurant staff truly make their guests feel very special. We will stay here again!

Stayed 4 nights on business trip, check in was easy with lovely staff. Room was spacious clean and tidy. I liked the extras you got with superior room. Breakfast was good with lots of variety, again staff very helpful. Would happily stay here again. Thank you Aachen staff

We visited Aachen for a short break and to see our musician Son playing a gig in the City. We were very pleased with the hotel and had an enjoyable and comfortable stay for 3 nights. There is convenient secure car parking just across the road (daily charge) and the location of the hotel was ideal for access to the shops and for the main historic sights in the City centre, less than 2 minutes walk. We also visited the wonderful Carolus Thermen Spa Pools, just 3 stops on the bus or a 20 min walk from here! The reception staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful, always smiling and all speaking excellent English (as our German speaking is not so good). They explained where to visit and looked up details for us if we had questions. Our room was always made up perfectly each day and we hardly saw the housekeepers who did the work, but they did an excellent job, keeping the rooms clean and tidy. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so cannot comment on this but the dining area looked smart and clean. We were very satisfied with our stay at Mercure Hotel Aachen am Dom and would stay there again and highly recommend it for its convenient location, cleanliness and excellent staff.
