I have stayed in the hotel before, but to be greeted by name from all the staff shows how much they all care for their customers. It is always a fantastic experience in this hotel. As an example, I’m a vegetarian, so they modify the menu and ensure I get a different meal each night.

The hotel is alright for one night stay. Prices are decent for the services they provide however I am pretty sure that there was something wrong with the sewage system because I refuse to believe that someone used toilets in both of the rooms that I booked and then didn’t flush.

I have to say there is a young lady who works at the hotel called Visi who was amazing, we had some personal problems with cars etc and her customer service went way above the normal, so a big thank you to her for her help in this matter.

Ideal for the circuit as a F1 fan was perfect for me, hotel was very clean and tidy, found the staff very polite and helpful as 1 menu was only in Spanish and the nice member of staff translated for me. The only one issue I found was there was like a water tank or something along those lines kept filling up was like a tap on and off every so often, it only bothered me at night as was out all day enjoying the testing. Overall everything else was great for me.

How on earth the restaurant has not killed anyone amazes me. Pre cooked chicken ( 10+ ) left on the side for over 3 hours uncovered and being served to customers after reheating in the microwave. Non checked for temperature with a probe and if you were unlucky enough not to be on your own the first one was left on the counter for over 5 min until the other two were microwaved. Had our groupe seen this prior to eating we would not have eaten there We have stayed in many ibis hotels and this has to be the worst

Reception area and kitchens are good, as always. Rather disappointed to find my booking for a double bed was ignored, we had 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets. The seat was missing the long cushion, I was told it was in the wash, (for a large hotel chain I find this hard to believe), this only left I hard chair and the bed. Our breakfast was, as always, superb, Ideally located for Moto gp and F1 motor racing.

We stay regularly on our drive down to Mojacar with our dogs. We like the location. If you are prepared to do anything about our views, then 1) The airconditioning in rooms is poor, in that it makes no difference to the heat in the room. Opening the window is better to cool the room. In March we are told that the aircon is on the hot for winter settings, yet in September it is no different. It isn't the same room, others have exactly the same problem. Montmelo may be different, as there is always a volume of racing crews, so you may feel that there is no need to do anything recommended by passing visitors, but we are at the stage of considering altering our route if Montmelo doesn't improve. One other issue: I was asked to validate my booking a few days prior to arrival. This necessitated inputting my passport details and also my bank card. However, my bank card details were not accepted, needing several attempts to try and validate, but not able to do so, yet at Montmelo they said my card details had been accepted. As a Classic member, I think this aspect needs reworking. We have been satisfied in the past, but feel that improvements are needed, not the staff but the infrastructure.

The first room we were allocated had no curtain. Reception staff immediately moved us to another room. In the restaurant for our evening meal we noted the table next to us received their meal (same as what we had ordered) before us even though they had ordered 10 minutes after we had. When we pointed this out to the staff they apologised and gave us a complimentary starter. When our food did arrive the vegetables were cold, the staff dealt with this and provided us with hot vegetables. The quality of the food was good when the problems had been resolved.
