had a very disappointing stay at Ibis Ripollet Barcelona. From the moment we arrived, the staff were unhelpful and showed no interest in welcoming guests. There was no guidance at all – nobody explained where our room was, how to get there, or gave any basic information about the hotel. We were not informed about breakfast times, pricing, or any facilities. It felt like the staff simply didn’t care. No smiles, no communication, nothing. On top of that, I was asked to provide my card details “in case I damage something so IBIS can debit me.” Excuse me – what? I’ve stayed in many hotels and never experienced anything like that being explained in such an unprofessional way. There was also no WiFi during our stay due to a Vodafone issue, but again, no proper explanation or alternative was offered. The hotel was very noisy at night – doors slamming and people shouting constantly, making it difficult to rest. The outside area of the hotel is dirty and feels quite messy, which gives a bad first impression. Overall, very poor customer service, lack of organisation, and an uncomfortable stay. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I am disappointed to see that the issues I reported during my previous stay have not been addressed. The front desk staff appear untrained and unprofessional — during check-in, the receptionist was unable to properly open my passport, fumbling with it from the middle and back pages instead of starting from the first page as required for identification. This should be basic training for anyone handling guest documentation. The breakfast area is also poorly maintained. Many of the chairs are unstable or broken, making it uncomfortable to sit and eat. Furthermore, the staff’s attitude remains rude and unhelpful, which makes the overall experience unpleasant. I was assured last year that these problems would be taken care of before my next stay, yet nothing seems to have changed. Overall, I’m very disappointed with the lack of improvement and attention to guest feedback.
