My second stay at this location this year, and they didn't disappoint. While generally a budget option that often comes with budget level of service, I think this Ibis Styles location hits well above its weight relative to other locations around the world, to compete with the very high service standards in the Seoul/Gangnam area. The airy lobby area immediately makes a pleasant first impression. The Front Desk staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was clean, smartly designed accessible. The building and amenities were clean and well-maintained. Three things I'd check: (1) The elevators seem to require some wait time; (2) The access card reader in the elevator could be more sensitive or responsive (say, beep or a light flash on a successful tap would be helpful); (3) the access card reader to the room switches back to lock a few seconds too soon in my mind - a slightly longer time would allow guests enough time to tap then gather their luggage and enter the room without issues.

Kate in the reception was friendly and was able to accommodate my request for an early check in without additional cost as a Silver status I guess she assigned a room for us that has beautiful room and city street view ! The location was very accessible to everything especially it’s also few blocks walking distance to the Starfield COEX mall . Jun the multitasking staff barista at the same time was a barista and security staff was amazing . I approached him if I can make call to Fairmont Ambassador Seoul without hesitation Jun anticipated to call right away and connect to the hotel English speaking reservation to answer my queries about my upcoming stay. It was my first time in South Korea and he introduced me this drink made from rice milk a healthy drink while waiting for my room assignment. From housekeeping staff to reception to security thank you for your engaging service and exceptional service you had provide during my 3nights stay .
