For $50 USD, the breakfast provided is substantial in size, but it falls short in terms of flavor. While I am an avid fan of Korean breakfast, this particular offering did not meet my expectations. The western style food was not up to par. Although the hotel is visually appealing, clean, and the 22nd-floor suite I shared with my husband was comfortable, the beds received a 6 out of 10 rating. I would suggest that the hotel consider investing in mattress toppers to enhance the comfort of the beds and provide a more restful sleep experience. I appreciated that once I asked, I was provided with powdered creamer for the morning coffee. I would absolutely return.

Our stay at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul was exceptional. The staff provided outstanding service with their warmth, friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness to our needs. Our Luxury Lake Room was comfortable, elegant and tidy, which included excellent amenities and an exquisite view of Seokchon Lake and the Lotte World Tower. The breakfast at Fait Maison provided plentiful selection of dishes, though a rotating menu would have been an ideal experience. The indoor pool facility offered an intimate and relaxing environment against a full-height view of the Seoul metropolitan backdrop. Note that while no prior reservation is needed for the pool on weekdays, reservations are required on weekends. The location of the hotel is also incredibly convenient, as it is just a short walking distance to Lotte World Tower, Mall, Theme Park and Jamsil Station. The only minor quirk is the separate elevator system between the lobby and guest floors due the building's layout accommodating serviced residences, which has led to some confusion at times when using the elevators. Overall, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable that is worthwhile for a return visit, and would highly recommend anyone seeking a comfortable and luxurious stay near Seokchon Lake and the Lotte World complex.

We loved our stay at Sofitel Hotel and hope to return on another visit. The location is in a quieter part of Seoul, but still has anything you could need, shopping, food, Starbucks, etc. We enjoyed spending the morning walking around the lake. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We were upgraded with the Amex perk as described. Great hotel!
