Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences 5 stars

This hotel exceeded expectations! Fantastic location, outstanding staff, and seamless check-in/check-out. Our spacious Magnifique Room was clean, well-equipped, and featured a lovely bidet. The breakfast spread was exceptional, and in-room meals were delicious. We didn't get to try the gym or pool, but the room's smart system (voice-controlled lights, curtains, etc.) was a standout feature. Highly recommended! Tip: Request a room with a lake or amusement park view – it's worth it over a higher floor.

I am writing this review to let you know about all the wonderful, warm, and caring people who helped make our month long stay the finest and most memorable experience of our lifetime. The people who have the good fortune of working at this hotel have not only met but exceeded our expectations for the highest standards of quality and service in the hotel services industry worldwide. Everyone from the many doormen opening the door of our taxi and greeting us with a smile and warm welcome each and every day, to the concierge team fulfilling our every request with vigor, the elevator attendants greeting us cheerfully repeatedly all day long, the front desk quickly serving our needs with sincerity and respect, and the attendants in Club Millesime attending to our daily breakfast comfort and nutrition. Everyone treated us with care and sincere concern for our happiness. These employees work long hours and never once treated us poorly or with disrespect. I congratulate them all for their service and wish only the best rewards for their hard work. However, there are a few people in particular I would like to offer my deepest and sincere appreciation as they interacted with us throughout our stay. Our room attendants (Ms. Hana and Mrs. Moon) were so efficient and diligent in taking care of our daily needs. You see, during my stay I was recovering from medical surgery, and there was a lot of stress for me and my wife. We had a lot of special requests that went beyond the normal requirements for keeping a tidy room. They did everything in their power to comfort my wife and take care of all our needs. They did it quickly and cheerfully, and I can't tell you how much that meant to us in keeping us comfortable both mentally and physically. One other person who stands out above the rest is Duty Manager Chris Park. He was so kind and attentive to all our requests, and I don't know what we would have done without him. He treated us as if we were his own parents. His attention to our needs was his greatest concern and he fulfilled every request regardless of the time of day. The comfort he provided to us went far beyond the expected. I can't say enough about the integrity and compassion of this person. Everyone should follow his example. He truly is a remarkable person. Please see that these people are recognized accordingly. My sincerest thanks to them and the entire staff at the hotel. Wish you all well and hope to see you again.

Had a great stay at the Sofitel in Seoul this past week. I initially booked it since it was a great deal for the area - and what made it incredible was Rohan, the concierge. Rohan was my secret guide to Seoul. He booked incredible restaurants, found me a laundromat to wash my clothes, and even booked tickets to the Bears-Twins game. Rohan was our secret to having a great trip, and we are very thankful!

The Sofitel Ambassador Seoul is situated next to the Lotte World Mall in the Jamsil neighborhood. While it's about a 40-minute train ride from the city center, its location offers a unique blend of high-end shopping and scenic tranquility. Getting to the hotel from Incheon Airport is convenient, with a direct airport bus to the Lotte World Hotel, from there it's just a short 10-minute walk from there. The main entrance on Jamsil-ro Street is a bit tucked away, but once you find it, you'll head to the 6th floor for an efficient and friendly check-in experience. The Luxury Lake Room lived up to its name, offering stunning views of Seokchon Lake and the glittering spire of Lotte World Tower. The room itself was very comfortable, with international power sockets, USBC ports, a mini-bar and fridge, Nespresso coffee, bath and rainfall shower, motorized drapes, and adjustable lighting to suit any mood. Breakfast on the 4th floor offered an extensive selection of both Korean and Western foods, although the variety on offer didn't vary much over the four days. The staff were friendly and efficient, but the breakfast dining experience was slightly less luxurious due to the strict three-session (45 minutes each) booking system we had to follow (so, forget those long lazy weekend breakfast dining experiences!) One of the hotel's biggest perks is its exceptional convenience to the Lotte World Mall right next door, along with other nearby restaurants. However, if you plan on visiting Seoul's main tourist attractions frequently, be prepared for a slightly longer commute via the city's efficient metro system, which can be crowded at peak commuting times. The hotel also has some specific rules for its facilities. The pool requires a strict booking for one visit per day and mandates the use of a swimming cap. While the gym offers nice views, we found an early morning walk or run around Seokchon Lake to be a more enjoyable way to exercise. Overall, the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul provides an excellent luxury stay, particularly if you don't mind its location being a little further from the bustling city center.
