I recently stayed at ibis budget Wien and was honestly shocked by how many basic things come with an extra charge. There was no hairdryer in the room — to borrow one, you have to pay a €30 deposit. There is no luggage storage at all. If you arrive early, your only option is to pay €15 for early check-in. On top of that, there was no power outlet next to the bed, which made charging my phone at night unnecessarily inconvenient. At this point, the “budget” label feels like a joke. The constant nickel-and-diming honestly reminds me of a certain low-cost airline — everything that should be standard comes with a price tag. That said, I’ll give credit where it’s due: the reception staff were fairly friendly and tried to be helpful. The problem isn’t the service — it’s the fee policy and the lack of basic amenities.

I am not giving a rating of 10 for one reason. I wanted an early check in. I was allowed to check in at around 12:30. I ws charged 15 Euros for this. My booking was for six days. To charge a customer an extra 15 Euros for two hours on top of the charges for six days is petty and a poor business practice.

I was disappointed with how a duplicate payment for my stay was handled. I stayed at ibis Budget Wien Sankt Marx for one night, from 5 to 6 September 2026. The stay had already been booked and fully paid through Agoda on 2 September. However, during check-in on 5 September, I was asked to make another payment at the hotel reception. As a result, I effectively paid twice for the same one-night stay. I would like to acknowledge that Mr Saleem Mahrofkhel handled the situation professionally and was helpful despite his manager not being available at the time. As he could not complete the check-in without the payment, he advised me to contact the hotel manager by email afterwards to resolve the duplicate payment. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with the response from Rodi Mohamad, Front Office Manager. I was simply advised to contact Agoda, without any indication that the hotel had investigated its own payment or reservation records. This was disappointing, particularly as the second payment was made directly to the hotel. I understand that the hotel may need to coordinate with Agoda to resolve the matter, but I expected the hotel to first investigate the duplicate payment and provide assistance in resolving it. For a one-night stay, having to pay twice and then being redirected to another party without any investigation is not an acceptable customer experience.

First of all the application booking was more expensive than the booking on the counter Two the rooms are very poor in everything There is long waiting time to register more than 40 minutes from our arrival We have been forced to take one more room to accommodate my two children 9and 7 YO There is huge difference from ibis uae and Vienna.
