I would have definitely given 10 / 10 but for the issue we had at check in. We travelled from the UK and we were subject to lots of delays, meaning we only arrived at the hotel at 1am, having travelled for 12 hours! While we had been travelling, I’d sent a couple of emails to try and let the hotel know that our arrival would be late. When we arrived at the hotel we spoke to the gentleman at the desk who was not particularly sympathetic to our situation. He told us that our booking had been cancelled due to “no show” and then told us that the very same booking had already been taken by someon else. Apparently the hotel had tried to take the first night charge but the transaction failed. He kept telling us that we had not used a “good card” to book the room, when in fact it was a bank fraud alert that prevented the charge from being taken. All of this was happening while we were still travelling and without mobile phone signal, so we were not able to communicate with the bank. After sighing loudly many times he made some more checks and then produced a room key, and we went up to the room. In the morning I thought I would double check exactly what he had done and it turns out that the room we had (that had been given to someone else) was now going to cost us over €200 more than originally expected!!! This was not communicated to us by the night reception person. Thankfully, I encountered Guada and Manuel who completely saved the whole experience for us (and you!!). Guada was incredibly understanding and sympathetic when I first raised it, and passed our issue to Manuel who immediately sorted the charges to bring them back in line with the original cost. The level of customer service from these two members of staff was 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Guada and Manuel, you saved our holiday!
