Faultless from start to finish and great service at breakfast sorting some vegan options out for me (not having to ask would be better though 😉)

I have stayed here before many years ago and it did not disappoint on this occasion. Lovely hotel, very clean and friendly and knowledgeable staff who were very helpful with any queries that we had. Great location for our event at the ExCel

I’ve stayed here several times but this time I was disappointed. The breakfast experience was awful, I needed to ask twice for knifes and forks, I asked several times for watermelon as this is all my son would eat for breakfast. There were no fried eggs, boiled eggs were cold, no mushrooms, very little beans. The whole experience was awful and the staff appeared very stressed. This was a very busy weekend for the hotel so maybe more staff should have been on duty. Also no sugar in room so I asked at reception and they didn’t have any. The man on reception was most unhelpful so I had to gotta the restaurant and help myself to sugar as no staff were available to ask. I was dissatisfied as if booked a suite and this is the 4th time this year I’ve stayed in a suite and the rates to stay are quite high so I would expect a better level of service. Rooms should be fully stocked with tea, coffee and sugar. Also the room wasn’t cleaned properly as I found rubbish down the side of the coffee machine .

The lack of basic replenishment, delayed responses to your requests, and the overall stress you observed among the team are not reflective of the service we aim to provide—particularly during busy periods when strong coordination and staffing are essential. I will be addressing this directly with our restaurant leadership to ensure proper support and product availability moving forward. I am equally concerned to hear about the issues with your suite, including missing amenities and the cleanliness oversight around the coffee machine. This should never happen, especially for our suite guests, and I apologise that you had to seek out items yourself when our team should have assisted promptly. I will follow up with both our housekeeping and reception teams to reinforce standards and ensure the correct room setup is consistently maintained. As someone who chooses to stay with us often, your comfort and confidence in our service are incredibly important. I am truly sorry this stay led you to question returning, and I hope you will allow us the opportunity to restore your trust during a future visit. Should you decide to stay with us again, I would be very happy to personally oversee your arrangements to ensure everything is prepared to the high standard you deserve. We had no electrics in our room, the staff weren't able to fix the problem and we weren't offered another room. We were offered no compensation or refund and the hotel is not responding to follow up correspondence. Terrible experience.
