Arrived and paid early check-in. The room was not set for twin beds. There’s no phone in the room; you have to WhatsApp. Very unhelpful. I found a nice lady cleaning a room and she helped me separate the beds. The room and beds just generally uncomfortable. We stayed for O2 location. This is my first and last Ibis experience. But probably that’s pretty common, because they did not seem to care too much about customers.

Very smooth check-in online. Staff helpful as always. Room clean. Shower gel holder broken, but I survived! Location is excellent, would book again.

The hotel had no wi-fi, which not only meant I could not do any work (an issue considering this was a business trip), but also meant I could not even access my room without a member of staff. When I tried to discuss this issue with staff, I was told the manager and the only one with any authority, wasn’t actually working for the length of my stay (why the manager didn’t come to the hotel in these circumstances is beyond me). Overall, a very poor experience made worse by the way the situation was handled, or not in this case

Cheap and not so cheerful. Room had dirty splash marks on ceiling, shower water didn't drain and threatened to overflow so had to keep turning water off. Carpets in main corridors on level 3 were full of stain marks. Air conditioning didn't work, tv kept randomly turning itself on. Downstairs in bar, there was only one person serving after an event at the Excel, so there was a long, slow queue. On a plus, the hotel was ideally located with a 2 minute walk to the excel centre. I won't be staying there again.
