We have stayed at this hotel several times the staff on reception are friendly and helpful. We had a bulb missing in bathroom which they sorted (after asking 3 times) The bathroom fittings are excellent, but the black tiles make room look dull

1. Aircondition u/s 2. I went down for breakfast. I was told it closed 10:00. I came down 09:50. I had to take the breakfast up to my room with a tray. I could not even sit at a table. It is very unusual that a guest can’t sit after the buffee has closed. With 100+ days a year in hotels, over the last 15 years, I speak out of experience. Either close the breakfast at 09:30 and let the guest stay, or close it 10:00 and let the guest stay until they have eaten their food. It’s ok to start clean with guests still eating.

Brilliant location. Ideal for catching the #1 bus from/to the airport as it's on the route & a minute away from a bus stop. Staff are ver polite and helpful. Rooms well kept by staff. Easy to use climate control in the room. I had two large single beds in my room. I slept well. Good choices at breakfast.

Staff very helpful. Issue with bathroom sink took a long time to fix. Promised that TV would be tuned to at least one English speaking channel but this never happened. Requested a quiet room and found the room to be very comfortable and quiet with a view of the old town. Great location. Overall, a good experience.

As an Accor Platinum member, I was offered a welcome drink through the app, which was stated to be available until my check-out date on the 28th. However, when I arrived at the hotel on the evening of my check-in, I was told that the welcome drink could not be provided because I had arrived late. Then, on the day of check-out, a female member of staff at the front desk told me, rather surprisingly, that the welcome drink could only be used on the check-in day. I found this extremely confusing and disappointing, especially as the information I received was inconsistent. The way the matter was handled was also rather unfriendly and unhelpful. Unfortunately, this hotel has given me the worst experience of all the Mercure hotels I have stayed at so far.

Was assigned my allocated room at check in (111) and went up to enter the room, at which point I found another guest in there. Returned downstairs to discuss with the manager on duty who advised that the hotel is overbooked and allocated another room (106). I entered the room and freshened up after my journey and went to head out for dinner. In opening the door I noticed it was sticking and wouldn’t shut behind me. As it turned out the entire door frame on the lock side had been damaged consistent with the door being broken into. I returned downstairs and advised the duty manager and putting 2 and 2 together it became apparent that the guest placed into my allocated room 111 was previously allocated 106 and the front desk gave them that room. Then played down the seriousness of the issue including such things as fire egress (the door deal was also damaged and sticking, I was worried about not being able to get out in an emergency). The duty manager advised that the maintenance manager had been called but had gone home. I was offered a refund, because no other hotels were available. I called my corporate travel company and there were no other suitable hotels in the area and I had no choice but to take the damaged room. The house maid and another member of staff made a temporary fix on the door with panel pins and sealer material. The worst thing was that the duty manager down played a serious issue and treated me with little respect or consideration.

I was here with my siblings on a four day trip to Bergamo. We really appreciated the convenience of this hotel, which was on the one bus route from the airport and also this route went up to the funicular for the old city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us with taxis and storing our luggage and answering questions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We were on the first floor and our room was so noisy. The window didn't close fully and so you could hear people talking outside along with the very loud road. Our kettle didn't work and the tiny paper cups to make tea or coffee were disappointing. When I went to reception to mention the kettle issue the receptionist was on the phone and didn't acknowledge me so I left and reported the kettle later in the day.

The property is at a great location, easily accessible, and it was almost spotlessly clean! These are the positives. Everything else was abysmal. Starting with getting checked in - while receptionist taking a call. The room was convenient, well no free water, no membership recognition, missing lightbulb in the bathroom, the air vent was chocked with dust too. The AC worked but during the night was very loud and kept waking us up. In the morning we've discovered that the bath sink was blocked badly ( we did remove the plug in order to have better waterflow ) - this part i mentioned at checkout where the receptionist started to argue that it must have been the plug and we didnt pressed it down, where eventually I just said, " you can have a look yourself " purely mentioned only for the sake of the next guest in the room The bar was soulless but the girl who was running it for three hours (???) was very nice. Breakfast was shambolic and not worth the price. Went down at 720am after reading reviews to avoid it later, but even so it was still shocking. Hot food wasn't out. Dirty placements with no removals from previous diners, items not replaced and very poor quality. More so, as i am being dairy free due to allergy the only thing I was able to eat, the dairy free, prepacked yoghurt, toast with ham - due to no allergens were listed, nor any staff member being around. Not sure whats the point for paying for breakfast when no-one checks it.

People working at the desk should be more than just 1 person at the time. Flushing the toilet in my room was rather a sport discipline. Sometimes I had to flush the toilet 3 times, sometimes up to 7 times to make sure, everything gets flushed. Also the shower unfortunately is not perfect, I believe it doesn't seal well, after every showering I had a big puddle in front of it. Breakfast was very nice, but the big tea cups were missing for nearly 20-25 minutes.
