Mould on the bathroom ceilings, you had an earth wire coming out of the wall hooked up to the curtain rail in the shower. Did anyone tell your electrician that water and electricity don't mix? On the first day, there wasn't any water to flush toilets with and the toilets smelt like it had backed up after flushing.

Pros: Excellent location near the MRT; very easy access to Central. Great for solo travelers. Generally a satisfying stay. Cons: Amenities are very sparse—you have to ask for basics like toothbrushes, and things like combs/shower caps aren't available at all. The breakfast selection is quite limited and average in taste. Also, only two lifts are available, so expect some waiting time.

I brought my family to a 4 days tour in Hong Kong. I choose to stay at ibis North Point for our second night. In the evening we went to a tour so we came back to the hotel before 10pm. Two of our rooms were in the 29th floor while one was at the 21st floor. Around 3:20am there was an emergency alarm. I had an adrenaline rush and was about to get my family with only my underwear when the alarm stopped. I called the front desk and they told me it was a false alarm. I couldn't comeback to sleep again and I tried so hard to calm myself. But around 3:40am another emergency alarm went on. We panicked again but it was another false alarm. So I decided to tell my family to dress up and we left the hotel before 5am without even taking our breakfast. It was a horrible experience.

Recently stayed at ibis Hong Kong North Point for a short stay booked for my mother. The hotel is clean and the sea view from the room was genuinely nice. The staff were okay and helpful at times, they kindly provided an extra chair for the room when requested. That said, the rooms are very small (which is expected in HK), and the bathroom was absolutely minuscule. The hotel also felt expensive for the overall quality and comfort offered, so the value for money was not great. The biggest disappointment was the customer service regarding the booking itself. I booked using my Gold card and I’m also a receptionist in an Accor hotel myself, yet the process was made far more complicated than it should have been. As a Gold member, I also expected my mother to receive a slightly more attentive and welcoming treatment. The welcome and booking experience unfortunately did not reflect the level of service I would normally expect from a 3 star Accor hotel. Honestly, the hotel’s weaknesses could easily have been compensated by warmer, more efficient service, which would have made the stay feel much more pleasant overall. Instead, the experience remained fairly average. Overall, decent for a short stay if you mainly need a clean room and nice view, but I expected better.
