Had an issue with the room door a few days into my stay. Keycard worked for the elevator but could not open the room door. Stopped by the front desk and they suspected the door lock needed a battery change and a manager had to be called to fix the issue. Was told I had to wait 15 minutes. A staff member showed up within the 15 minutes, but was unfortunately not able to fix the lock. I was then told maintenance had to be called and it’d be another 15 minutes. Maintenance showed up promptly, changed the battery, and now the lock responded to the keycard. A few more days into my stay, the same problem occurred. Stopped by the front desk again, and was told there’s an issue with door lock. I was offered a room change which I took. I appreciate the staff’s prompt response in handling these two occurrences, but the issues did cause inconvenience during my stay at the hotel.

The staff in the hotel tried to scam me by saying my room which had breakfast included in it for all the 5 days of my stay had breakfast only for 2 days and when I went for breakfast on the 3rd day they denied me of breakfast after which I had to show them my reservation details even after which they tried to say some nonsense which is highly unexpected especially after having Accor gold status for the past year and over on top of all this the towels in the room were stained … every single day which is highly unexpected and highly unprofessional

Room is small. Bathroom is tiny. Outdated furniture and TV needs replaced. Tiny insects crawling in room. Safe deposit box out of battery/useless. Breakfast buffet was just okay. Anyways location was very good for ferry or MTR subway .

Unfortunately did not enjoy my stay at Ibis North Point. The service was decent, but often had to wait in a queue to be served at the front desk. The hotel rooms and corridors look and feel extremely old and sterile. It was quite difficult to sleep during the few nights I was staying there because my mattress was rock hard and the soundproofing in the room was terrible. I could hear the baby in the room next to mine crying, and guests would not gently shut their doors, so I could continually hear the slamming noise throughout the night. I considered leaving a night early because it was so uncomfortable. I booked this hotel because it looked like the most valuable option in HK. Unfortunately it still did not feel like it was worth the amount of money I spent. On the plus side - the location was great, right next to the MTR station and ferry pier and my room had a lovely view of the harbour.

the staff, especially the cleaning team are tidy and efficient. floor, working table bedding and toilet are clean. however, the pipe smell in the room are disappointing. further, on and off with small flying insect in the toilet. location is perfect. close to the mtr station, food, shopping mall. the lift overweight alarm is silent. not a problem if u stay longer to aware why the door is not closing.
