We were very impressed. The hotel itself was lovely with great views and well located. The staff were all extremely helpful and always cheerful. Wonderful stay.

Issues with debit card so couldn’t charge anything to room, roof top garden closed entire time we were there, service in Avoca was very slow, except for breakfast which was excellent.

We understand how frustrating this must have been and regret any inconvenience it caused. We will review our payment procedures and work with the front office team to ensure clearer guidance and faster resolution when guests encounter card-related problems. We also apologize that the rooftop garden was closed for the entire duration of your visit. The closure may have been necessary for maintenance or operational reasons, but we appreciate that it affected your plans and enjoyment of the hotel. We will ensure that closure notices and alternative options are communicated more clearly to guests in future. Regarding the slow service you experienced in Avoca, we are truly sorry. Prompt and attentive service is important to us, and we regret that we fell short during your visit. We will share your comments with the Avoca team so they can address staffing, training, and operational issues to improve service speed and consistency.
