Taking time to commend on Tom's great service that made a huge difference to our stay at Novotel. My child and I arrived late on Thursday 5 Sep (No.8 Typhoon). When we checked in, I realised that there was no bathtub and we specifically booked 1 with the tub as my daughter love the tubs. We went downstairs and was told that most rooms were booked out but Tom took control of the situation and after checking with another colleague, he proceeded to upgrade our room instead of turning us down. Much to our surprise and it meant alot to me because it was the first Mother-Daughter trip for us to celebrate my daughter's birthday. He was also very friendly whenever he sees us and my daughter was also very excited to wave to him and engage with him. This is indeed a gold class experience from Tom's can-do, will-do attitude which I hope the rest of his colleagues can learn from (clearly some still requires training and reminders, especially the restaurant crew). A separate commendable act is for Grema who is the front desk office manager (I hope I got her name right) who personally came to assist with the luggage as the conceirge was busy. She also entertained my daughter was I was doing final checks in the room which o truly appreciate. Lastly, the uncle who helped us with the luggage when we arrived was also very kind to my child and brought her a small hammerhead shark toy- compliments from Novotel- while I was busy with the check-in process. Thank you for the amazing service!

The room is a bit old, especially the toilet. The bed is fine to have a good sleep. Minimal room facilities are provided like there is no kettle, coffee or tea, spoon or fork, fruits or snacks.
