Had two rooms on a 32 degree day. Both rooms AC were useless (looked 25 years old) and the rooms were boiling hot. Had paid for 2 nights, but left after 1 - went somewhere else. Also no lifts and had to drag numerous heavy bags up stairs. And the TV reception kept cutting in and out.

A 32-degree day is certainly not the time for air conditioning to be underperforming, and I sincerely apologise that both rooms were uncomfortably hot. This is not the experience we want for our guests. Your comments regarding the AC units and TV reception will be passed on to our maintenance team for urgent inspection. I am also very concerned to hear about the odour in your son’s toilet. Please accept our genuine apologies — this should have been identified and addressed prior to arrival. We will be following this up with our housekeeping team immediately. We understand that carrying heavy luggage up the stairs can be difficult. As a budget property, we do not have lifts, but our team is always happy to assist with luggage whenever possible. It’s disappointing to hear that you chose to leave early, though we completely understand your frustration given the circumstances. Location was great for what we needed to do, bathrooms needs a full renovation and staff was lovely. Strong smell of cleaning products in the room, probably due to smoking prior. And very thin doors which allows you to hear everything in the corridor (ie, people using the dryer or microwave)

We are sorry to hear about the bathroom condition, particularly the mould concerns and strong odour. While we clean thoroughly between each stay, we understand that embedded mould and ageing fixtures require more than routine cleaning. Your comments have been noted and will be shared with management for further review and planning improvements. Regarding the strong smell in the room, we do use cleaning products to ensure hygiene standards, particularly if there has been prior smoking detected. However, we understand that strong scents can be unpleasant and will review this with the team. We also acknowledge your comments about corridor noise. As a budget-style property with external and lightweight doors, some sound transfer can occur, though we appreciate that this may affect comfort. In relation to the pet fee, thank you for raising this. The additional $50 per pet is part of our pet-friendly policy, and we’re sorry if this was not clearly visible at the time of booking. We will review how this information is displayed to ensure better transparency. We also appreciate your suggestion about replacing plastic water bottles with glass — thank you for the thoughtful feedback.
