Poor hygiene

Our stay was very unpleasant and oppressive due to a fact that the cleanliness level around the hotel was very poor. Swimming pools water was grey, and it smelled like cabbage. Joint dressing rooms and showers were shocking. No control whatsoever in the swimming pool. Some visitors didn't shower before entering the pool. Gym´s equipment where from 90´s. They were dirty and old and made strange noise. There where bubbles in the running mat´s structure! Huge amounts of dust everywhere. We were there for 7min and left. Thats how bad it was. Windows where so dirty it was hardy to see outside. No hand sanitizer or cleaning wipes to clean after using the gym equipment. Hotel reception was ok and the reception personnel helpful. They spoke English. Other employees at the hotel didn't. Breakfast price was very high for the quality. There was no sanitizer or possible to wash your hands after taking your breakfast from the buffet. Waitresses look at me disrespectfully when I ask where they are had sanitizers. She said there isn´t and directed me to the bathrooms, that were located far away from restaurant on another floor. I was travelling solo with a child so I couldn't leave him by himself waiting in the restaurant as I go and get us some papers to clean our hands before eating. We would have had to make the same long trip every time we would have gone for a refill from the breakfast buffet. So, we had one fill and left. Eggs tasted strange. Dairy products we didn't even dare to try. We both had small croissant, one cup of coffee and two classes of water. Very poor, for over 20€ breakfast. Luckily, we were able to cancel the second night´s breakfast. Hotel hallway´s and staircases where dirty, sand and rocks everywhere. There was no control by the hotel employees as local kids staying at the hotel were playing football on the room hallway! This same happened on both evenings at 9pm when we were going to sleep. They were running after the football and the ball bounced off the walls with loud bang. I had to go out the room and ask them to consider other hotel residents as their parents where on the other end speaking loudly and laughing on their own stories. Room´s wall thin as paper, you could every single noise from the hallway, so I had hardly any sleep at all. We were supposed to stay two following nights at the Accor chain´s hotel Novotel Gdansk Centrum (prepaid) but as the anxiety grew so high, I booked Radisson hotel to end our poor travel experience in Poland. I have stayed at the Accor hotel chain previously. Latest in Tallinn (Swiss Hotel) and the experience was amazing. Stay at the Mercury Gdansk Posejdon was unnerving, and I want manager to contact me on our stay. My contact details mo… Thank you!
