Overall a decent stay. Awesome sea view from the room. Not sure if the welcome gift (Accor Gold benefit) has been put on hold during the pandemic, but I have not received it during my stay here. I remember my stay in another Mercure in Wrocław (before the pandemic) and on top of the free room upgrade (another Accor Gold benefit) I was pleasantly surprised with a selection of chocolate and a sweet dessert prepared by the hotel chef (and a hand written personal welcome message from the hotel staff!). I did miss this kind of treatment during my stay in Mercure Gdynia Centrum.

As a loyal and seasoned customer of ACCOR at the sad occasion of the funeral of my father I decided to book 2 rooms for my family at Mercury Gdynia. Our stay started nicely as always at ACCOR hotels. In the morning we left for the funeral ceremony. While leaving the hotel we asked at the reception to clean up our rooms, change towels, fill up used amenities and change the pillows in both rooms as the one we slept on were very high and uncomfortable. our request was accepted and we were assured all will be fine. After uneasy day we returned to the hotel late at night. The room was not cleaned, towels unchanged and we did not even have a soap to clean up hands not to mentioned pillows. after our intervention at the reception a security officer arrived with towels and later with pillows. the reception called offering a drink which I found a bit inappropriate given circumstances. the whole situation to me was not handled well. next day at check out the reception officer charged us PLN 200 for parking fees. We realized that for a single car we used we owe you PLN 80 so requested PLN 120 to be paid back. Overall the worst stay at Mercure Gdynia I have experienced in many years.

We are sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations regarding your stay, which consequently influenced your satisfaction so significantly. Our team received information about cleaning, but due to incorrect communication, this service was not provided, for which we sincerely apologize. Performing the cleaning in the evening, despite our best wishes, was not possible due to the absence of the floor service staff. The offer of compensation, proposed by our receptionist, met with an unpleasant reaction from you, which made us very sad and prevented us from offering anything more. The parking fee was wrongly charged which we will explain with the reception team. We will pass your observations to all hotel departments in order to take appropriate action and implement changes. We believe that your feedback will encourage all members of our staff to make further efforts to continuously improve the quality of our services. We encourage you to visit Gdynia again.
