We are Accor Members and always like to stay in their hotels, this Mercure in Gdansk was exceptional. Located a handy five minute walk from the Railway station and bus terminal. The room was spacious and well appointed, with excellent WiFi. The staff at reception and the bar were very friendly and professional. We ate in the bar one night and the food was also exceptional, it also features Polish beverages and food which we found to be a great concept as we had not been to Poland before. The hotel is also close to many historical sites and museums including the Museum of World War II. We experienced an excellent time here and would stay again.

This was our 6th stay this year and on the whole we were satisfied with the hotel. On 7th December we were given a Privilege Room on the 1405 which looked very nice. On closer inspection we found bedbugs and lots of bedbug eggs on the headboard. Reception dealt with this very efficiently although we were told they were ticks!! They were bedbugs!! We were then given a room on the16th floor which on inspection was fine. However this really ruined our stay and although the suite and breakfast were lovely we justed wanted to leave, get home and deal with our case, bags and clothes. Now all in quarantine and disruptive to our routine. Unfortunately these bugs had been there a while due to the amount of eggs on the headboard. I'm not sure how they gad been missed by staff. I know that the idea of 'skip the clean' seems a good idea but is it really?

I stayed for three nights. The bed and bedding were very good and the room was not too hot (which is usually the case in some hotels) and this is really important. The staff were helpful and friendly too.

Very good standard, great breakfasts, best location for visiting Gdansk Old Town and proximities. For gym people though, no real gym at the hotel, but you can always go to Madison shopping mall across the street and they have short term (3d) passes. And they have sauna. :)
