Problems: 1) Room of "Privilege" standard "had issues with window" hence it was suggested to switch to "Standard" which I accepted 2) Additional things being part of "Privilege" offer were supposed to be brought and that didn't happened during my stay 3) New room had issues with it's electronic lock so I wasn't able to get in after coming back from city trip - this ended up with another relocation to different room

location is ok, breakfast quite poor - no corissants, other person server with fresh eggs even this was not proposed to others not speaking polish, smoke was felt in the room/especially in bathroom

Polite and friendly staff - throughout the departments involved. I had booked a standard room for 4 nights. Due to upgrade possibilty (Gold status), I asked beforhand to stay in the booked category as this room type feels a lot brighter (was in Privilege in Aug/Sep 2019). I found the little "extra treat" in the shape of a chocolate bar (!) for 4 zl and 2 (each200ml) soft drinks (Pepsi and apple juice) quite laughable to be honest! I would have expected, that if I refrain from getting upgraded due to my Gold status (and the hotels was not full at the time), that at least you would have availed the Nespresso coffe maker from the Privilege room .. anyway. My room, 1610, has for sure seen better days - the tiled entrance looks dirty, worn out and cheap. So does the shower door. Mold visible in the silicone sealings. Chalky rainshower which leads water spray everwhere (if I wouldn't have cleaned it). Furniture way too big for a room size like this. 2 chairs instead of 1 chair plus a huge armchair would have done it. Mattress way too soft (back pain in t he morning). The ambiance of the 16th floor (arpet with huge dirt spots), wall colours, darkness - little welcoming. Looks like a remnant of the 90s, and whoever had ever designed this must have been on drugs! Sorry to say! The view is stunning facing Gdansk Old Town. The location is good as well - convenient for a stroll through the city. Convenient to Gdansk Glowny as well. I was happy during my stay in Aug/Sep 2019. According to my experience during THIS stay (Sep 2020), I would not come back and would not recommend this hotel to my friends. There are better option for the same money or less in locations as good or closer to the Old Town!

Conveniently located hotel, clean rooms with facilities in good condition. We arrived around midnight and after check-in we were given keys to a room with someone already sleeping there. Needless to say, that was not comfortable for us, nor the other guest who we woke up in a scare. We kept our luggage against our own door for the rest of the stay, worrying this will happen to us too. The room was clean and as we stayed only two nights, we did not need a cleaning service. However, the idea that guests need to request cleaning service 1 day in advance is utterly terrible. In our situation, we could not get it anyway, even if we asked. Despite that, it was a decent stay. I also appreciated the hand-written welcome note in Lithuanian.

Very centrally located, friendly staff, smallish room, breathtaking view, beautiful city. Who wants more? A better shower... but I think it is not possible. The shower is included in the bathtub, which is way too high. A young person may have some difficulties, let alone a "mature" guest who has to climb over the tub. The shower is literally too short for an adult. Then you have to climb back from the tub and its quite dangerous. This was tge really negative aspect of my stay.

Despite the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, I fully enjoyed my stay at the Mercure. The hotel's methods of ensuring social distancing, provision of hand sanitizers and so on meant that guests received the best possible service within the current national guidelines. In my view the arrangements at the Mercure, gave guests a better than I had recently at another internationally known hotel chain.

Truly fantastic stay with my family. Great location, super friendly staff, clean & safe hotel. Food delicious - breakfast super tasty & well organized. Big thanx & respect to Mr Adam hotel Sommelier for opening a bottle by sabrage style. It was amazing show ! Thank you I`ll be back :-)

Lovely hotel, with all the right measures in place for COVID-19 and a 2 minute walk to the centre of Gdansk. The room was clean, comfy and modern. Great convenient parking, either on street - really cheap - or in the hotel's parking lot. Would definitely recommend

I've been to this hotel many times. At the old town but easy to get to by car or train, close to the old harbour, restaurants, etc. Parking around the corner. Very convenient. However, the interior of the rooms is getting somewhat old. Furniture takes a lot of space, which makes it difficult to properly clean the room. Airco made a regular ticking noise, which was not pleasant during the night. The bed was good. Employees were very helpful and kind. I will go there next time, but I think it's time for a refurbishment.

The Hotel is great, clean and has great location. Unfortunately the hotel was full with Covidiots, I mean idiot guests who don't wear masks at these times and seems not to believe that corona exists, especially in lift, hotel lobby and especially in breakfast area, and the hotel didn't do anything about that, It was really stressful seeing and trying to avoid these idiots (Guests) in hotel, especially with family and kids :-( we would really like to visit the hotel again, but not in corona times again for sure.

We've stayed at the hotel before and found the location close to the old town and also the railway station very convenient. Staff were very helpful, especially at breakfast. You get great views of Gdańsk from the upper floors.

A lot people walking around whiteout face covering. Hotel guests not using face masks even in the lifts where standing next to you. Hotel crew not bothered to asking guests to cover the face. In our room 7 floor the shower head was broken and water was leaking everywhere. We’ve been few times in this hotel and always very happy but this stay was like not in the same place. I think that with hotels amount and competition in Gdansk hotel management should working a little bit harder.
