My friends and I stayed at ibis Brussels Centre Gare Midi for three nights. The staff was nice, our room was really nice. The only thing that bothered us was that the bathroom doors didn't have a lock + shower doors were odd, hard to close. The hotel was located near city centre and public transport stops which was amazing. Different cafes and grocery stores were also nearby that we liked. The location was good, however it seems that the neighbourhood is liked by men who eat out in the cafes and restaurants on the street and check out the females passing by, so I advise for female solo travellers to be careful. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and our room. Thanks!

Good location next to station and metro, but nice quiet room. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked brilliantly on the two very hot days we were there. Breakfast was nice, with good choice. Bar was comfortable, pleasant. Staff were friendly.

Poor reception

Staff at reception was not very friendly. Not capable to speak Dutch, while it is one of the two official languages. I used my Silver ALL to check in. No free welcome ticket. Never seen that at any other hotel! The lady said that no free ticket was given because the room was booked via a travel agency, which is not correct, as it was booked by our company. I NEVER use parasitic organizations like Booking, Agoda etc. It is not about the money of a drink, it is to feel treated as a guest. Instead staying there, I went to a restaurant and spent 85 euro for dinner, and did not want spend any cent at this hotel. Next time again Pullman or Novotel. Not this one. The toilet was partly broken, and the electrical panel in the bathroom was loose (dangerous)
