Ok hotel but train station area is not safe

Hotel is ok. Standard ibis. Jsut opposite the train station which is convenient. But the area is not safe. The street next to it has fun shots the night before. Some streets are very very dirty. But it’s not the hotel’s fault of course. Some walk required if you want to go to the grand place.

However, we understand your concerns regarding the safety and cleanliness of the immediate surrounding area. While these elements are indeed beyond our control, we strive to provide a secure and welcoming environment within our premises. Additionally, we regret that the distance to the Grand Place did not meet your expectations. Our central location is usually appreciated for its proximity to various attractions ; it's only 10' to get to Grand'Place with the Metro and we apologize if this was an inconvenience to you. We hope you managed to take advantage of our comfortable rooms and the various amenities we offer, such as our selection of local Belgian beers and the ibis-flavoured gin exclusively available during the summer. reasonably priced and very close to Brussels Midi station. Room very tired and unit blow tv falling away from the wall Requested early morning wake up call never happened (possibly because the phone in the room showed it as belonging to a different room)

Very unfriendly front desk . Not even a kettle in the room. Refused to provide one even after ready to pay for it
