Well located, 10 min walk from the subway station Louise (line 6 and 2 which is direct from Brussels midi train station) and free coffee and tea available at the breakfast area. however not soundproof at all, you hear all the street noises. Housekeeping is not good: old tea bags were still left on the table and staff entered in the room while we were still here and did not even knock on the door before entering.

I chose to stay at this hotel after realizing that the hotel I booked in Brussels had no air conditioning during a record heat wave. Earlier in the year, I stayed at the ibis Styles in Liège, which was excellent, so when I saw that rooms were available here on short notice, I booked a stay for four nights. In general, the hotel was very good: good location, very good breakfast (although the one in Liège was better), and a respectably-sized room for a European hotel. The only issue was the temperature of the room. It is likely that all of Brussels had trouble keeping cool, but with the exception of the hotel lobby (which was blissfully cold), our room was always quite warm. With the hotel AC on full blast, we were never able to drop the temperature below 80ºF/26.5ºC. The hotel was happy to lend us a fan, but we had a lot of trouble sleeping in the heat. Had the temperature outside dropped very much, we could have opened the (very large) windows for cooler air. It's also worth noting that the hotel is located at a busy tram stop, and although the trams in Brussels are relatively quiet, it meant that had we opened the windows, we probably also would have had trouble sleeping due to the street noise. A better HVAC system for hot nights would have gone a long way toward making the stay more pleasant.
