We had a good stay - great location, comfortable room, breakfast was good, coffee machines not working properly, no staff to assist. overall staff is not overly attentive or responsive to issues, although in our 10 day tour around Europe this is generally what we found, at the non-US branded hotels.

Very thin on amenities.

Soap dispensers in bathroom were not refilled and ran dry. We wished there were a teapot and instant coffee, or a coffee machine. We wished there were a safe so that we weren't forced to carry our laptops with us while touring. Location is great for tourist activities and day trips within Flanders.

I moved to the Ibis from my previous hotel in Brussels due to a noisy room. The front desk team was very helpful and extremely nice, and were able to give me a very quiet room. The room and bathroom were very clean and functional, except for the air conditioning/heating system. Although it worked well, it was set to a mode that made the room stuffy and uncomfortable (only heating and automathic turn off). In compact rooms like that you have to be able to set lower temperatures and keep the device turned on. Otherwise, a good option, well located next to tourist attractions and right by the train station.

Hotel is in good condition. The reception noted well my preferences for a room type. But reception is run by very low number of staff. There are times no one is there. The same applies to the bar. I book also another room for a colleague using different booking system.

Great location, beside Central Station and Grand Place. Comfortable room but no tea/coffee maker, mini fridge, extra toiletries

The location of this hotel is the best I've ever seen, everything is less than 300m. The girl at the reception was very proactive.

Front desk (young woman) is disrespectful, paranoid, arrogant and authoritarian .

With the exception of the front desk, fine. I would suggest quieting the IBIS marketing within hallways. Shouting your marketing to an existing guest is a poor investment. It doesn’t improve your position. It was like living inside a flat screen with volume intended for someone in a building blocks away . The images were rock cliche. I suggest the customers that interest you more are those confident in their “Cool” rather than strangely intoxicated and slightly embarrassed by the false coolness of poorly conceived photo shoot. Magritte prints would be interesting.

Your new system of low level effort at check in and check out are NOT working. It made it more difficul. I never got a receipt AT ALL!!!! and no way to request one. Person at desk just claimed issue with system. It was never FOLLOWED up and there is NO way to resolve once you leave,

I was happy with early check in since I took long haul flight. But I was a foreigner, and came for business trip. Since so my org issued cash because our country widely use cash and no time to deposit into my card. So I requested to pay in cash, imagine how one of the receptionists responded? She said that sorry we don't accept cash, then you have to look for other hotel. Excuse me, I travelled very far and really wanted to take rest and she found me that I was carrying two luggage, then she could still tell me to find another hotel. I found no sympathy to guest at all. At least, she should have helped me to find another way to grab the sales. That's I suggest from management point of view. I am guest and ready to pay all 6 days of my hotel room fees. Then I insisted to accept cash. Finally she agreed. I understand Belgium has become cashless but she has to be trained well how the way to reply to guest politely.

Kind staff, great location, ok facilities outside the room itself. Room was freezing cold throughout despite attempt to raise room temperature using the air condition, intense draft from window that could not be helped - alas it was exactly above the work desk. Hallway and common areas were cozy warm. No options of brewing tea or other hot beverage in the room to alleviate cold.

Good room - Reception desk staff seem rather unexperienced and were unable to solve even the simplest problem - Nobody spoke any Dutch
