Overall, the stay was okay, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The room itself was comfortable, although I believe every room should have a toilet brush, as mine didn't. Housekeeping also didn't provide fresh towels each day consideringthey came in to clean the room and make the beds ect, and the air conditioning only worked properly on one side of the unit, so it wasn't as effective as it should have been. One thing I found quite strange was that the fridge containing the cold coffees was locked. Each time you wanted one, you had to ask a member of staff, who would unlock the fridge and hand it to you. It felt unnecessarily inconvenient. The biggest disappointment was the check-in process. When I booked online, I advised that I would be arriving between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. I arrived before 3:00 pm and asked if my room was ready, but after waiting around 10 minutes I was told it wasn't. I was then informed that if I paid an additional £20, I could have my room within 15 minutes. As I had already paid a considerable amount for a two-night stay, I declined. Interestingly, around 20 minutes later I was given my room key anyway, which made the offer to pay extra seem unnecessary. Overall, the stay was pleasant enough, but a few improvements to the facilities and customer service would make a noticeable difference.

When we arrived we were given a room which hadn’t been cleaned and there was chicken on the bed, dirty tissues around the room and a horrible smell. We were then given another room which was better but still dirty with stains on the walls and carpet. We stayed due to vicinity to 02 and if we had more time between arrival and our concert we would have booked somewhere else. Staff were pleasant and apologetic but the place wasn’t clean and my wife was very upset, happy to share pictures if needed but well below standards I would expect of an IBIS, in which we’ve stayed many times throughout the world.

Location is great for the stadium, station and shops. The only small criticism is the air cooling system - it would be much better if this system was upgraded to proper air conditioning. Considering I paid £450 to stay 3 nights I would expect proper air conditioning. It would also be great if you had a fridge in the room. On the plus side, your beds are extremely comfortable and I slept well even with the window open. The noise from the street did not disturb me. I also loved the fact that I could cast from my phone to the TV.
