My daughter and I came for a joint 40th and 70th Celebration. The Front Office supervisor Youssef Diop asked if it was a special occasion and immediately upgraded our suite and offered us champagne which was a really super gesture and very much appreciated indeed - it really did make a big difference. All the staff were very attentive, particularly Youseff and gave us great restaurant recommendations and answered any questions we had. My only disappointment was a lack of the little extras in the bathroom and a poor choice of teas/coffees in the room. Just one decaffeinated pod of coffee not two, no English breakfast tea and 3 tiny milk cartons one of which was off and solid when opened. I know we could have ask to have these replenished, but I am not one to do this. On a final note, the bar area really had a rather unpleasant drain smell throughout the stay which made having an evening cocktail or a little nightcap a no go. I do think the Sofitel is a great brand and would certainly use them again. I am not sure we would rebook the Sofitel Paris Baltimore because of that drain smell, but top marks to Youseff and the rest of the team.

First, the positives. The hotel has a great location, and a Metro stop is a minute away. Moreover, there are several other Metro lines with stations within a short walking distance. The Concierge desk is always staffed with excellent people, and my wife and I want to commend Jamal in particular for his excellent suggestions and advice. The breakfast each day provided a nice selection of available food items, and ordering of additional items (primarily eggs prepared in different ways and with nice accompaniments) was great. In particular, Saber and Ann-Sophie were stars of the breakfast staff and deserve special recognition for how they observe the room and provide superb service. Also, at the front desk there is a woman whose name my wife and I did not get (perhaps Jamal will be to identify her, because she was helping us while he was finding a taxi), but she was a pleasure to speak with and clearly wanted to make our stay and the departure smooth. The room itself (#609) was comfortable and fairly spacious for being on the very top floor. In the lobby area there were several nice places to sit and relax. The check-in was easy, and our contact with the front desk thereafter was always pleasant. Now, for things that could be improved. We requested turn-down service, and that was done some days but not every day. Moreover, it was done inconsistently, and it seems that a hotel should have consistent procedures for everything so that something does not depend on who happens to be on duty that day. Perhaps more importantly, the location of the body lotion container in the bathroom is a nightmare. It is located so high up that pressing the pump requires a contortion, and the lotion is difficult to catch at that angle. Why it was placed so high up when it could have been a couple of feet lower is a real question. There is a hand bar in the shower, but the floor itself can be slippery, and it would have been nice for there to be a bit more traction. Lastly, there were some odd occurrences with staff appearing at our room for things we did not request. One time a fellow knocked and asked if we were having a problem with the shower (we were not and had not made any request), and another time a woman knocked and asked about refilling the coffee supply (and we had not used the coffee machine at all). Probably these were for other rooms, and I hope that the correct rooms were eventually serviced, but it was odd that we had these two occurrences. Overall, our stay was fine in general, and this was our second time staying at this particular hotel. We currently have no plans to return to Paris, but when we eventually do, we will very likely stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast service during our 5 day stay was barely 2 star hotel service. We stopped asking for omelets after the second day as both our orders came out not only egg white wrong but with not the right fillings. Our room 407 had damaged metal ceiling and black mildew. There were also cracks in the tile floors. However, the front desk staff and the concierge were outstanding. They recommended 3 wonderful dinner suggestions.

The location great and the room is well put the bed is perfect however the staff are not flexible and the room service does not show it is 5 star hotel. Also the person who helps witht he luggage was not available all the time.

We have been staying here since it was an M-Gallery it was a great hotel and the staff have always been excellent The physical structure is however tired, the plumbing runs slowly and the leaky shower screens are now just a nuisance I really don’t know what they are thinking with Lordy’s it spoils what was an excellent little space Will return because of its location but it is no longer value for money

Our stay at the Sofitel Paris Baltimore was truly exceptional. It was honestly one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was so welcoming, warm, and genuinely kind. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. What meant the most to us was how incredibly sweet they were to our daughter. They treated her like a little star throughout our stay and even surprised her with a special gift, which absolutely made her day. It was such a thoughtful gesture that our family will remember. The hotel itself was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the location because it felt safe, clean, and walkable while still giving us a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere away from the overwhelming crowds of some of the busier areas of Paris. Our room was exceptionally clean, and having a balcony was such a wonderful bonus. We truly had the best time and couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Paris. The combination of the beautiful hotel, wonderful location, and especially the kindness of the entire staff made our stay so memorable. Outstanding private transfer from and to the airport with highly tentative drives, with a lovely sense of humour and knowledge of the city. The hotel is in a safe and nice neighbourhood close to the main sights. The breakfast was lovely, the reception team nice and the housekeeping has potential to improve, however our concerns where met highly professional and fix within reasonable time

My stay with the hotel was mediocre for the price I paid. Definitely not worth 450 euros. Also check in is 3pm. Not sure why I had to wait until 3:30.

Our room (511) smelled musty. Each day we would leave the windows open, but staff always closed them. When seated for. Breakfast, I often had to hunt down staff to get coffee. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but they didn’t seem see me.
