Budget for a reason

DO NOT STAY HERE !! My family and elderly parents stayed here for a stopover before going overseas. The place was so terrible we cancelled our stay for the return leg. The tiniest rooms ever, the bathroom looks like something off a ship liner, you can barely turn around in there. Be careful of the huge drop off step when exiting very unsafe. Heard every noise from freeway, garbage truck, and noisy neighbours with fire alarm going off. Disgusting smells also wafted from KFC and McDonald’s for which it’s wedged in between.

Never ever again!!!

This place is super, super, super budget. It has very little going for it. I would only ever stay there again if there was no other room available anywhere in Sydney. The room was tiny. No carpet. The bathroom is a modular add on which is also tiny - and has a relatively high step up into it. Hanging space is limited to hooks on the wall. The hand basin is in the corner of the room, not in the bathroom. The staff are not friendly. And they charge an extra $10 per night for parking!! Never ever again.

Disgusting

Normally I do not write reviews but where do I start. Arrived about 1430, two rooms booked for two nights, going to the rooms on level 2 saw a used syringe on the stairs informed cleaner. Went to first room only to find no lights, got main light replaced but they didn't have a tube for the small light. The room also did not have a electric jug or tv control, which they replaced. Later that evening used the shower only to have an unbelievable smell of sewerage come through the room and in the hallway which made the room uninhabitable. Although reception was receptive to problem they had no room for two of use to move to. This meant 3 of us had to sleep in the 2nd room and I slept in the putrid room. The second room also had problems with water leaking from under the shower cubicle base onto the floor making it very dangerous, there was also a large amount of hair all over the shower base. We did get moved into another room for the second night but even this had problems with cleanliness as the bench top was covered with something very sticky. Have stayed here many times before covid but this is the first time since and it is my view that the place is trying to get as much money in without spending any on maintenance or cleanliness.

I’ve stayed here several times - but there’s been a gap for the pandemic and oh, how things have changed! It used to be a nice friendly little hotel. I had booked 4 nights and wouldn’t have stayed one if I’d been able to find somewhere else. It is so rundown. The aircon was taped off, hadn’t worked for some time. There was a tiny heater that fought a losing battle with the icy room. The shower dripped water everywhere. Tiles were missing. The toilet either wouldn’t flush or wouldn’t stop flushing. And this was in the accessible room for people with health problems to deal with. The manager was surly and unfriendly. Several times as I went through the foyer he was arguing with someone. Maybe the hotel is in line to be demolished. If so they should do the decent thing and stop taking money from the public. Budget doesn’t mean you have to put up with dirty, slum like conditions. And a smile and an apology goes a long way.

Horrific. Hair all over in the room. Air con not working. Room the size of a box. Ridiculously overpriced. Would rather sleep in my car. The bed was clean though. Will never go to an Ibis again anywhere
