I stayed here for one night before an international flight out in the morning. Despite Sydney's lockdown and therefore limited service, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

I recently stayed at Mantra during a stop over as Sydney hardened it's lock down. I've stayed here before and the service is excellent. This time however was different with limited services - but a shout out to the team, they were all visibly compliant with COVID rules and actively demonstrating their concern for the safety of guests and themselves. Credit too to the GM who was out working the coffee machine while staff weren't allowed to come in to work - Great atmosphere, comfortable beds, excellent views over the runways.

With covid rampant in Sydney during my stay, many of the facilities were not available, with food and drink on a takeaway basis only. Steak was good despite this.

Disappointing stay

Convenient if you need the domestic terminal, but don’t expect too much. Disappointing room, not as described despite paying additional fee for the upgrade. The promised ‘view’ was actually a view of the side of the DHL building. The food prices were exorbitant and it is takeaway only right now due to Covid, with no cutlery or even a chair in the room so you have to perch on the end of your bed. Good luck if you want to open the drink you bought. You’ll need to use the end of a teaspoon or the edge of the cupboard shelf. The ibis next door is probably just as well equipped at a cheaper price.

A brief stay overnight while in transit from Adelaide to and from Norfolk island. Was charged twice for stay on July 4th but once mentioned to your staff, it was taken care of within 2-3 days.

We had 2 nights at the Mantra 1 night on our way to Norfolk Island and 1 night on our way home. Nicholas was on both nights we were there and he was very friendly and organised our rooms very promptly. The only thing was on our last night we had to order our Dinner and come and collect it from the lobby, one of our meals was mixed up with someone else’s, we were so tired it was to much to complain. This is something to be aware of ?

OK but the means of travel to the hotel from T3 was not explained in advance apart from providing a phone number for the shuttle company. Finding the pickup point was a matter of luck and a helpful person. The room was OK but cold and no discernible heating could be obtained from the AC despite turning the temperature up. I won't use you again.

Location to the airport was great, less than a 10 minute walk. check in was easy. the room was clean and well appointed. I used the room service and the food was really good. I also really liked the chrome cast feature on the TV. it saved me watching my pay TV on my laptop. Would definitely stay here again in transiting overnight through Sydney Airport.
