Regular stay to see family. Pullman Mascot staff are always so very welcoming from greetings when you pull up to checking staff and excellent restaurant staff who go out of their way to come over and say hello.

Comfortable bed. Quiet room. As others have said, the open-plan bathroom is not suitable for a shared room. I didn't think it would bother me as my partner was the other guest, but it did bother me. The shower and toilet share a single sliding door, so when one area is closed, the other is open. Sign on shower end of door instructs that door must be shut during showering due to sensitive smoke alarm.... Problem overcome by a decent extraction fan and an enclosed bathroom! Panel separating bathroom from sleeping area does not reach the wall, so inbuilt bathroom night light shines directly into the face of whomever is sleeping on the side of the bed closest to the bathroom. Who designed this room layout? The wardrobe has glass doors and no drawers! Aircon was freezing when we arrived. Turned the temp up to 23 deg C then once the room was comfortable, we were unable to turn the temp down for sleeping. Only bed covering was a quilt in a cover rather than the usual quilt-between-two-sheets so it was either use the quilt (too hot) or have no bed covering. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and (included) breakfast. Not of the expected standard.

Overnight work trip. Airconditioning stopped working overnight leaving room so hot by morning. On checkout it was only when I commented on this after finalising the bill that the staff member told me all airconditioning had gone out in the hotel overnight - if I hadn’t mentioned it it would have been ignored and not addressed. Also my room was booked with breakfast which on check in they didn’t realise and had to give me a voucher to ensure I got it without being billed again. Breakfast food (hot items: bacon eggs etc) was cold. Poor form on both counts for a 4-5 star hotel who charge $30-$40 for breakfast.
