Staff are smoking cigaretts in front of the hotel all day long hence it smells cigaretts everywhere in the room. We had our rooom changed to another one but the smell was still quite strong. Also the receptions leaves music on 24/7, I couldn’t sleep at all during our stay because of both the smell and the noise.

There was no soap in the shower dispenser and there was no one to give us the towels we prepaid for. Call center was useless.

Clean rooms every day. Hotel staff were polite. But no hanging space for clothes. Wallpaper was too many pictures.

Booked online shortly before arriving, would not have booked F1 again had it not been for the option of a private shower. First used F1 hotels back in the late 80’s when I believe they first came into being and they were functional but very clean and reliable. After a 25 year break I find myself once again frequently traveling Europe and I have to say standards at F1 have declined and have standards have fallen through the floor. I suspect the F1 brand has been churned to different ownership and the current offer has declined. Having used different Accor brands this summer mercure, Ibis etc I have been extremely disappointed with the products with the exception of local staffing who have always been helpful and work really hard. Rather than bean counting I suggest senior executives get off their butts and improve the quality. However, I suspect the brands will be run into the ground and then churned over to new owners. Last night I overnighted at The Imperial Hotel, Hythe, UK, a hotel that was run into the ground by Accor and sold into private ownership. After considerable investment The Imperial is now a thriving four star hotel that provides exceptional facilities all for £65 a night. Overall Accor products are disappointing and do little for the credibility of the hotel industry. I should know, for nearly 20 years I was the Operations Director for a group of tour operators that also ran hotels in Europe and later ran my own English country inn. I doubt my review will change much as no doubt Accor concerns have little to do with customer satisfaction but rooted in profit and share price!

Ideal for a quick sleep. We arrived late and left early. Just wanted clean beds and showers. For the price I was very impressed. I wish England had this concept.

The hotel provided a reasonable standard of accommodation and it is good value, however our room suffered from an electricity outage and so we were in complete darkness in the morning. The breakfast room was rather cramped and the staff room was very untidy and looked quite filthy.I
