When I first visited this hotel 4 years ago it felt like a 4-star experience: rooms were beautifully appointed and the hotel was clean. A totally different experience this time: carpets in the rooms are worn bare, full of spots, and generally dirty; furniture is chipped, stained and worn. Baseboards are either black/dirty or stripped of the wood. Hallway carpets are disgusting. Floors at the main entrance and breakfast room are both worn down, covered with black scuff marks and also dirty.

Booked a suite for a birthday treat which was lovely. Clean, spacious, balcony and air conditioned. Very nice bathroom, extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was a little odd, items not replaced for ages (by which time we’d finished eating). The attendant seemed more concerned with putting crockery away in cupboards rather than ensuring that items were available for guests. Very happy with experience but next time we would not pay for breakfast, as there’s a bakery across the road.

Very noisy road Breakfast is fine, except the scrambled eggs which are just gross… clearly industrial and not fresh-made. Breakfast stated to be free for kids under 12 on ALL app, but charged half-price by the hotel. Staff at check-in made no effort to accommodate our request for connecting rooms even though both rooms were on the same reservation

We had a God stay . The room was nicely designed but the carpet is not very recent and the tv programmes are not complete (eg. No Golf+) and does not offer Chromecast access.

The check-in was slow as the receptionist was also waitressing in the restaurant. The back office staff did not show much enthusiasm to help. The room was comfortable but cold. The car park was full and insufficient. There was a ridiculous offer to pay 10 euros for parking inside the hotel. For an establishment of this standard, parking for guests should be FREE. The whole experience leaves a sour taste. This is a pity.

A really warm welcome at this Mercure. We stayed for. few days while attending a Golf competition next door. The staff are very friendly. The rooms were very clean, warm and welcoming. Especially like the coffee machines and thick, lovely towels!! We ate in the restaurant. The menu de jour was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, Breakfast was fresh, local and plenty of choice. Hot and cold. We would stay at this hotel again and recommend it.

Third stay at the Mercure Golf and, as always, exceeded expectations. All at the hotel were friendly, accommodating, with nothing too much trouble. Will be back. TRULY EXCEPTIONAL all round, thank you all
