We were there for two nights. We had a meal in the restaurant in the hotel on the 1st night, it was an extremely bad experience. My husband ordered a starter and three main courses as there were three of us. When the 3 main course meals arrived at our table my husband explained that he ordered a starter for himself. The waitress took his main course away and brought his starter. After he finished his starter the waitress cleared away. We were then left waiting 25 minutes for his main course. We called the waitress and asked her for the main course. She went and brought back the main course that she had returned 25 minutes previously. ( We could see from where we were sitting where she got the main course). Of course the steak was very cold. We called the waitress and told her the main course was cold. She then put her "finger on top of the steak and said it is not cold" I could not belive what I had just witnessed. She eventually took back the meal and apologised. The front of house staff were excellent. If I was to return to this hotel I would definitely not eat in the restaurant in the evening. I can also say that the breakfast was excellent as was the service.

We were very impressed with our short stay at Novotel, Narbonne. There was a great swimming pool which all the family enjoyed. We were only staying for one night as we were going to Les Grands Buffets as a finale to our French holiday. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the restaurant and whilst the area isn't pretty, you wouldn't know it from being in the hotel. We were all extremely impressed with the breakfast and were just very sad that we couldn't make the most of it due to having been to the Buffets the evening before!! It really makes me wonder what French people must think when they come to a similar hotel in England and get our disappointing versions of breakfasts! Quite embarrassing being English sometimes.... P.S, the only thing was that the air con in the room, although was on, would not go lower than 20 degrees.

Paid for an "executive room" and end up to a standard room... and with a mattress that does not deserve than name, meaning bad sleep just prior to a long cat trip back home.

Regarding the room category, we are somewhat surprised by your comment, as the room allocated to you did correspond to the room category you had booked. Nevertheless, we regret that it did not match the expectations you had. We are also sorry that the comfort of the bedding was not to your liking. Your comment regarding the mattress comes as a surprise, as it does not reflect the feedback we usually receive on this subject, but we of course take your experience into consideration. Finally, we regret the difficulties you encountered when trying to use your ALL Accor points. Reserved two rooms with single beds over 6 months before arrival. Rooms not available. Great after one day of driving. :( They changed the booking to one double bed and sofa “bed”. The sofa has a super thin matras that should have been replaced 10 years ago. We left. We also learned that the airco will not go below 26 degrees in the summer. Decided to lease and stay in another Hotel in the area. Cheaper, better beds and better AC. Last time for use at the Novotel.
