ibis Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel 3.5 stars

The receptionist could not of been more helpful, we will stay again next time in sydney

Given the current COVID19 requirements we were satisfied with the stay. Unfortunely, not the usual experience we have become accustom to due to no restaurant, no bar operational due to COVID19.

Got a room up high overlooking the harbour with a wonderful view. Unfortunately, due to virus, no dining or bar. However the location is handy to harbourside where there was a choice for dining. Handy to Light rail or walk over the bridge to city central. Very pleasant staff doing all they could to please. I would return any time I an going to Sydney.

Came to stay at the Ibis Darling Harbour quite often prior to COVID 19 .. and we had stayed at a lot of hotels in Sydney and Darling Harbour but always came back to the Ibis loved the staff rooms were always clean and tidy When we came to stay last week greeted by beautiful staff but that’s where the pleasantries stopped Room was freezing cold we contacted reception who said they’d move us to another room .. nothing changed, room was still freezing air conditioning wasn’t working .. we had no towels in the room .. I slept with the towels on the bed that we had to get from our previous room The breakfast was cold when it came to our room .. I’m sorry there just wasn’t really anything positive to say about the room When we checked out the gentleman said because of our dissatisfaction that we would get breakfast for free that it wasn’t going to be charged to our credit card but yet it was We had waited over 12 months to cove back to the hotel it was my birthday in April and I couldn’t come there so Greg said we are going to the ibis as a late birthday present .. very deflating But we’ll be back because we truly do love everyone that works there just hope next time the air conditioning is working and Foxtel are working as well xx

Hi, with only 5 rooms booked, you would expect not to be given a room with direct views into other apartments. Very disappointing.

Excellent as always

This was quite a different hotel stay for me. The occupancy in the hotel was very low which made it very quiet everywhere. Despite this, the hotel staff made me feel very welcome and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. My room was very clean with a wonderful city view. I had a really nice breakfast served every morning in the restaurant.

My wife and I were in Sydney for business as i am an essential worker and we stayed at the Ibis darling harbour. we've stayed there before and we really like the friendliness and relaxing feeling at this hotel. we are actually going to stay there next month as well for essential work again.

As a regular guest it was good to be back. All prety strange as so quiet.The staff as always were great & genuinely gratefull for us to be there. Missed the Ibis kitchen but under the circumstances the food from next door was fine. Look forward to returning & to the old friendly vibe that the hotel was before all this virus problem.

Suitable location for what we needed . Staff were friendly & accommodating . It was nice to not have to many people around so we felt safe & staff had plenty of time for us which was good . The room was in desperate need of an upgrade . Not up to the Ibis standard that we’re used to overseas . Although bed was comfy but that’s about it . The room itself was a let down unfortunately.

Good value room with a great view over Darling Harbour.

This was not a great experience. Tv not working in our room or at the ground floor bar area. A buzzing noise was going every ten minutes in our room. At no stage in the bookings process did Novotel or Ibis staff mention the cost of parking ($59/per night), nor was it mentioned at Check-in. Parking cost more than the accommodation and I could have parked for free locally. I won’t stay at Ibis again anywhere. Very scary staying at a place that had only limited coved precautions

We really enjoyed our stay . The location was terrific and our room had a magnificent view over Darling Harbour. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at the Ibis Darling Harbour again.

Staff went out of their way to assist us in every way possible. Due to CV19 we were unable to go on our cruise and the staff even compensated us by upgrading us to darling harbour view for our one night stay :) bar staff and management were great. Room was excellent with easy access to all facilities.
