I am writing this from the ibis Styles Sydney where the check in was polite and efficient. The room I requested was granted, I was thanked for being an Accor member and told about the free welcome drink. NONE of this occurred at the ibis Darling Harbour. Both times we've stayed at this hotel we've been completely ignored by Reception. I know this hotel was built in the 90s and our room looked like nothing had been done to it since then. The bathroom was basic and barely adequate with a small leaking shower with dripping taps. The towels were very thin and there was only one hanging knob for two towels. There were holes drilled into the tiles where fixtures had been removed.
